So with the reason being given is due to limitations of the 737-800 at Jersey airport, this means that Thomson will be upgrading the based 733 to a 738. When will this take place?
BmiBaby will be happy as they will no longer have competition on the route. I wonder what the chances would be for a daily schedule for S08?

NYC
I think its the travel agent that sells in the local papers, Western Mail, Evening Post, Wales on Sunday etc. They also advertise nationwide for lots of airports.
The same company sells to the likes of Palermo, Italy, Vancouver (on Zoom) from CWL, and further afield from other airports (SFO/LA/Rockies)
If anything came of it, i suppose it would operate in a similar way to YVR. Lots of holiday pax, with some flight only pax, and possibly split with another airport. Could just work!
Rumour is the TOM 737-800 will be coming in next month for winter. As TFS, LPA and FNC are operating on the 737. An uncomfortable ride on a 737-300 with no IFE!
BCN and FAO are popular, JER not far behind. But when JER stops, hopefully another route or 2 will surface next summer. As JER was operated x5 wkly, theres space there to squeeze in another route next to the FAO/BCN days.

BOH DSA and LTN.
But another forum says they are dropping both JER and PRG from DSA.
And TOM like to mirror their low cost stations.
I've read somewhere that now with the merger they are to move away from the low cost scheduled routes and concentrate on the holiday markets. This apparently from the FCA seniors that are now at TOM.

Anyone else heard the news this morning from BMI baby that they are starting CWL-WAW and CWL-GDN flights ? Nothing on their webpage though.
Also heard that the Vancouver flight will end after this season but Toronto will go direct with no stop at BFS.
CWL has to start attracting some news airlines & destinations - what is the matter with the Management ?

All I can say is about time too........
When will they be launched ?
Looks like CWL is set for a Danish Invasion next month due to the Boxing in Cardiff - Thomsonfly, Danish Air Transport, My Travel Denmark and Sterling all making an appearance.
I also see a huge Six Nations programme - early I know but can see Aer Lingus, Monarch, Atlantique Air Assistance and a whopper from Europe Air Post all in the FID's already.
Still lack of news though on new routes & destinations...

bmibaby do have 3 a/c on the wayso with a bit of luck we could see one of them on-route to Cwl.
If their just trying it out to test the waters then i'm sure theres spare capacity through the winter for theese routes.

Lets hope it all goes to plan for both companies........
Have heard that BRS is getting a YYZ route - just wish someone would wake up and smell the roses that we cant afford to loose all our long haul routes to BRS. Bet it will be Air Transat or similar.
All we need is soem good news from someone out there !!!

We'll i must say that the WW flights to Gdansk and Warsaw are excellent news, how long have we all been complaining about a Polish route?
You know what they say "You been waiting for a Polish route for years then two come along at Once"
U think what BmiBaby have done is re-arrange the times for their flights in order to fully utalise the a/c. Otherwise it is a Fourth A/C.
On the other hand BmiBaby have lowered the frequency on the BFS to once daily but on some days there are 5 EDI flights (this could be to accomodate the RBS 6 Nations)

I know they plan on purchasing 8 a/c some will be replacement and others new availability. With TOM planning on upgrading their fleet to the 800's then there will be more airframe available on the market.
Just been looking further into the WW website and unforunatly there have been further cuts on the GLA which will operate only 5 x Weekly along with the BFS going to daily from 2 x Daily
It doesn't look as if there will be any expansion or new aircraft anytime soon
