Sounds like it's been quite a slow start for JXT but I think with Jet2 going back to once daily on BFS we'll see a massive increase in PAX using the new BHD service. I don't think Manx2 really offer any competition for JXT to be worried about, flying via IOM on such a short sector is hardly going to appeal to your average business passenger. That being said I think the key to success for JXT is going to lie with ABZ and SOU as opposed to BHD.

Well if JXT need a cheaper solution for London, a blk-sen service could provide that rail link to City of London. Plenty of slots there. (Sen has a lot in common with blk: failed casino bids, long piers...)

fast track check-in
i think it's a bit like the BNWA days.
...with only a max of 18 pax to check-in they close the gate with 15mins to go. you can park your car 20 mins before departure walk into the terminal, no Q-ing, check-in ,into dep lounge and away you can go 15mins later.
its a nice small operation
with managable numbers it ain't rocket sience.

With Manx2's aggressive pricing I can't see JXT lasting very long on the IOM route.
It seems they have pushed EuroManx from a double daily on the Belfast route lately so i'm sure they won't be long seeing off Jetstream Express.

LPL need the early morning flights just as much as BLK, if not more. Unless the BLK flight departed at 6am, then the flights for business travellors from LPL wouldn't be viable.
I would love to see them add GLA and AMS to the network!

I have mentioned this on numerous threads regarding London City. They only want large aircraft going there i.e 100 seaters RJ's. This is why Eastern dropped Newcastle LCY with a 29 seater, because they doubled the landing fees, so if Eastern can not do it with a 29 seater who are not cheap anyway, then a 18 seater as no chance unless the fares are somewhere near £500
I think that is point made

Wellington Bomber, I haven't mentioned LCY once. I am well aware of the desire of the new management at LCY to only let in larger aircraft and that, coupled together with the fact that the J31 isn't even certified for LCY means that services into LCY aren't even a possibilty. With only 18 seats to fill somewhere like LTN could well serve this niche suitably.

engine failure
Thank you Captainyonder
I quote the CAAs Fixed Wing SRG List B for May.. Re MOR Jetstream Executive, G CCPW.... " No 2 engine performed eratically on descent and aircraft unable to maintain directional control or height, Nr2 engine shut down and MAYDAY declared ECL actioned."
Thus the MAYDAY comment was from the CAA (occ Num 200702674) so I assume was accurate. Any further detail on the hydraulics failure you refer to would be useful. Thankyou

JXT BHD route doesn't seem to be doing too well at the moment, and doesn't seem to change from Monday!
If I were a director of the company, I would be booking a flight on Friday morning's LS flight, and wear a massive t-shirt with JXT's BHD route on it. Make yourself as noticed as possible - Stelios did it, and it was in every paper in the country. Obviously, JXT isn't that big, but it can attract alot of the local papers on the Friday morning!
Hope JXT's BHD route improves, and that the other two will grow into healthy services. The question is...how deep are JXT's pockets?

I wonder if they have considered Norwich as a route... Its an awkward place to get to by train or car , and there are possibly links with offshore oil/gas industries based out of lowestoft.

JXT
BHD increasing steadily each week, with no Tech issues as yet and the ABZ is quiet this first week but looking good during the rest of the month.
Each route is getting interest from different business sectors and fits in nicely with the schedule.
