Yes I agree and the STN-TFS is always ontime, all I am thinking is
the STN-YYY-YHM route was offered before the airline was ready
to deal with it, I wish GSM all the luck in the world.

Hello everyone.
What do you mean by equipment Blackball? Are you talking about ground handling or actual aircraft spares?

Globespan

Been hearing things about Globespan! Running things a bit close to the wire.

Anyone know any more?

Question what do you mean?

i've turned down working there twice recently, but was considering it---

any chance you could be more specific?

my girlfriend has just started there as cabin crew at STN and they are messing her about already.

I gather they have considerably over extended themselves (who hasn't!). But their exposure to such diverse longhaul, etc. is a very risky and costly business.

They might be a heading down the well trodden road of "also ran" Airlines

Well the inbound at STN from Hamilton via Liverpool is only 18 minutes late today! Things look slightly better! LOL.

Only very slightly, CYHM to EGPF is still over 2 hours late today.

Please don't knock the facilities at CYHM, the coffe shop and bar close at 11:30 because there are no passenger flights scheduled during the night, and Hamilton is used to dealing with operators (Westjet and Jazz) who run to schedule.
I have used CYHM many times as both pax and P1, their treatment in both cases has always been superb, they are trying to grow a business and I'm not sure that flyglobespan is going to help.

First 767 in GS colours from Neos is due in GLA tomorrow. Anyone got confirmation of the seat layout or has the refit been postponed?

This A/C will be taking over the YVR and YYC routes from all UK bases for S07.

The next Neos B763ER will operate daily SFB flights for S07.

There will be another B752ER coming from Icelandair within the next week or so to operate the YHM flights too. Things are getting back on track!

A big wig in BALPA told me they were approached about a Union recognition campaign for Globespan, however it was his opinion that based on what he had been told it would be a futile effort as the company was not long for this world. This was about 6 months ago I might add, so maybe he is talking out of his bottom.

Rainboe you are extremely irritating in your new job as self appointed Moderator. Take a step back and read some of your recent efforts. All a bit sad and pathetic really.

whispering campaigns by disaffected employees and former employees against their companies,
If you are referring to me, I am neither.

baseless hints and suggestions
I just stated what I heard. Without giving you a spreadsheet I don't really know what you are looking for? No one will be able to give you hard evidence until afterwards, if it is the case with Globespan. I hope it's not!

Dogma, The only problem with Flyglobespan is that it is a "Low Cost" airline. It does have a good success story in its short haul market out of Scotland to holiday destinations. It is making a huge commitment into the long haul market, where once it gets the a/c aquistion right and manages to get the crewing sorted out should prove to be a nice little niche market.
IMHO it should do well. I would be rather more concerned about other things such as Brown's so called green Airport taxes making it more expensive to fly long haul from Scotland via LHR/LGW/MAN etc.
