Does anyone know why TCX8125 LPA-BFS has diverted to DUB? It flew directly over BFS and then flew South to DUB where it is now on the ground.

Apparently the flight deck decided to make a go-around due to noticing problems on the runway. I don´t know if it was FOD or something to do with the work that made Jet2.com re-negotiate their use of the runways with BFS a couple of months ago. Anyway, it refuelled in DUB and eventually landed in BFS at 02:52L, a delay of +3H22.

A friend who was on the flight said the go-around was extremely frightening and many PAX were scared.

Flight deck is a place, pilots make decisions and do the work.

Thomas Cook Airlines Group - Long Haul have updated their Route Exchange profile.
From Routes online:

Thomas Cook Airlines Group seeks proposals from European airports looking to win service to current long-haul destinations in their network out of new European departure airports that can be served by their B767-300 or A330-200 in a W-pattern (out of the destination). In particular we are seeking to obtain insightful traffic analysis, projections and firm proposals of commitment and incentives, which will also be used to steer our long term network planning process.

A pitch to become a new European departure point for a leading European Tour operator
Win year round service to a Long Haul destination on the current TCAG Network
Opportunities for W14/15 & S15
Pitch for service with TCAG- 5 aircraft to allocate

Why do you say it was "uncontained"?

As the cowling and fuselage appeared intact, im guessing Uncontained was stretching it a little

OMYT

there was a very loud single thud when it went, not a boom or a bang. like a large barrel exploding.
I am an ageing spotter and refuse to apologise.

A lot of TCX's bases for S14 have been upgraded in terms of the aircraft type used. CWL seems to be 1 x A321, BRS 2 x A321, and another one checked is BFS to be 1 x A321.

I can't find anything relating to aircraft size. Where are you guys finding this info? I thought STN had A321 this year for the school holidays as it was swapped with the BFS aircraft. Are STN and BFS both A321 throughout next year then?

I thought they only had four A321's and I know two are at EMA so was worried EMA was going to go down to A320's but they are leasing some A321's aren't they if I'm not mistaken?

Does anybody know if EMA is still two A321's next year and can confirm BFS and STN are both A321's throughout the summer?
