Drove past BOH at 11.45 today and 3 x Flybe Dash 8's on stand. Any idea why?

Bournemouth airport can afford millions to improve the roads for the industial estate and Christchurch council reject the Aviation museum due to increased traffic

How daft is this world

Good to see 4 Flybe aircraft on the ramp along with a First Choice 767 off to Barbados yesterday albeit for a couple of hours but at least Bournemouth looked liked a proper airport again !

That's half the problem, despite the £50m spent in development the lazy press still print out of date photos. This can only be negative to the 'sale' of the airport to prospective airlines.

If an airline chooses new destinations on the basis of bad press articles, then Bournemouth would probably be better off without it.

If you saw half built or out of date hotel pictures in a holiday brochure you would think twice. Same would go for an airline surely?

I think airlines would do a bit more research than just look at a few websites/articles ie they might actually visit! Well, obviously, no might about it - they WOULD visit to inspect the facilities.

If they were to place routes or base aircraft there yes, they would definitely visit, that's granted. But what I'm talking about is the simple off hand comment of 'I see Bournemouth hasn't changed according to this article' type of scenario.

Re Photo No7

Perhaps a very apt headline on the poster behind the subject... 'A Magical Pantomime'

Malta has appeared on the Ryanair on line check in page , so hopefully it will appear bookable very soon

Lets hope that Crete appears on the destination list as well as Prestwick has just secured that route for the summer , the Crete route has always been very popular from Bournemouth and has not been taken up since the demise of Euro Cypria last year

Very surprised that Thomson has not reinstated that route they could have put it on as a night flight for the summer as with many extra routes like LPA , LCA time will tell

Malta

It is mentioned on the Ryanair thread that Malta is not returning to BOH. Can someone from FR confirm this?

why don't we sort out the management system and start again? surely Manchester airport can employ decent management who can operate a proper airport efficiently!
