EOS service
I believe that EOS pulled out all the stops to assist pax at STN recently. An escort thru fast track, plus a full goodies bag once the doors closed.
Sumday Times article refers, still looking for link.
Did Bigger Airways do the same for 1st Class.

BA always have a bag of goodies available for 1st and club pax.
Do I sense another attempt of BA bashing?
Seriously, all airlines are trying their best here under the circumstances. I think your arguement should be directed towards the BAA.
Anyways, EOS only have one flight at a time, try asking the BAA to allow BA to rush 70 sets of first class passengers through security at the moment. Dont think it would be allowed to happen!

Not BA Knocking, Paddy
I feel thet the upper levels of service to the customer, is moving towards the "pro active".
It should have been possible for BA to escort its first class pax, in a similar way.
The bag of BA goodies, for first is reasonable, but the club is going down market rapidly.
As to standard EOS service, so it should be,...lets bring back the service culture.
In the corporate aviaton world our pax expect and get this service, so perhaps the worse the service provided by the airlines the more business we will attract.

Unfortunately Bumz rush it was not possible at LHR due to the congestion there, the inability to send luggage down earlyfrom checkin for flights and the requirement to have the staff where they needed them. I believe it is all back to normal as of today however.
As for Club going downhill. It is not really. If anything it has gotten better since I joined the company 3 years ago and is about to get even better. New cabins are about to be launched, food is about to be upgraded at the same time and more flexibility in service is about to be introduced (unfortunately by this I dont mean an eat when you want option, thats just too difficult in the cabins as large as they are) and a new IFE product.
Now if you want a plastic, gimmicky and unnetworked service in business then I suppose BA's Club could be a letdown. All depends on what you are looking for I suppose!

lets see if BA Club is still good
My next trip, apart from the usual Moscow / London, is to HKG...
Never flown this sector so I will give it a try...
However the comment re LHR being conjested and busy is exactly the point. Thst why the exec jet business will expand, and smaller airports should get more long haul business.

If only
47 passengers(sorry guests) might be early but there is always the ONE who arrives as check in closes carry's contraband in luggage and simply has to pop to duty free before boarding. Then tut-tut's and complains of the delays.

would love to love BA but just can't
I pax to and from USA once a month and service levels are pretty poor.
with the club fare levels it is much better value to use MaxJet from STN, Virgin Upper Class (as long as it's a newish interior), Air NZ from LHR or American from MAN. All these airlines beat BA hands down on cust service and product.

Eos Airlines start their two daily flights between New York JFK and London Stansted today. There is also a press release on their website saying the airline is experiencing a 62% rise in bookings for the month of September compared to the past three months.
If you go to book flights within the next few days, there are lots of flights with very few seats available. Saturdays JFK - STN has sold 47 seats with only 1 seat currently free.

ATI reported a few weeks ago that according to US regulatory filings (should be fairly easy to find the originals, presumably in the US DOT document repository website) EOS plans to launch Paris CDG-JFK in March 2007 and Zurich-JFK in April 2007.

In the mid-90s, I recall being in an enterprise where we could legitimately calim a 30% rise - because we had started from (almost) zero! Nowadays, teh growth is only about 8%.
I don't deny them their chance to publicise their product but let's hope everyone remembers their basic maths.

1st birthday!
I believe that EOS is going to be a year old soon, i was just wondering if anyone knows how the loads are doing on average now and the sucess of starting the service on a twice daily basis?
Will EOS be doing anything special at all for their birthday or more for the passengers to get a few glasses of bubbly on the day?!!
And how about any new routes starting for them?
