The flights only went on sale for the Isle of Man at 10am Monday morning, so zero pax was to be expected. Very very early days for the routes. Prices have been lowered to £59 starting, which is good.
I commend Eastern for their haste in maintaining the routes, especially with no advertising. It happened very quickly over the weekend and kudos to the staff involved over the weekend at Humberside for getting it going.
In time, a rework of the schedule would be welcomed when crews allow. A double daily (M-F anyway) BHD, then potentially interchange NCL and maybe a GLA through the week, during the day.
The traveller maybe won't realise that prices are going to be naturally higher than Citywing, as APD will be included. Citywing managed to escape this being under 20 seats on their aircraft.

Cornishsimon is correct however according to Flightradar24 G-CIXV operated a LCY to Faro flight under an Eastern flight number yesterday morning, presumably as a charter as it later positioned Faro -Birmingham.
Interestingly E170 G-CIXW has positioned to Isle of Man this evening and is scheduled to operate two return IOM-LCY rotations on behalf of BA Cityflyer tomorrow morning in place of the usual Saab. Presumably this is planned to provide additional capacity.

G-CIXW will be operating the following:
24MAR - 3281/2/3/4
25MAR - 3281/2 - Positioning back to Humberside following this.
The aircraft is in due to availability of IOM Saab flight deck, due to circumstances out of Eastern's control.
An EMB170 will also be operating early April for crew training purposes for LCY.

I hear a rumour that the CP is calling around flight crew who have left, offering them practically any pay deal to come back. Look after them in the first place and they probably wouldn't have left.

It's not always about the pay, not for me anyway, sometimes it's exactly as you said cabsav - look after people in the first place. Eastern will never be good at that whilst ever the boss maintains his contempt for his staff and works them to the bone!

Affordable flights
They have to do something to get money in. Dwindling passenger figures, cancellations due to no crew, more crew leaving, potential base closures, redundancies and a clueless commercial department.

Started SOU-ABZ-SOU(again!).
But although advertised as a direct flight, the small print notes a stop over in LBA, the pax having to sit on the aircraft whilst a crew swap takes place. Slightly misleading advertising I'd say.
Now doubt on a Jetstream 41, so take your ear plugs!

They'll need to do something. Offer a cheap base fare then addition fees for everything except for fresh air. It's a model that seems to work. But on a J41 it could be tricky. But I'd say their current model isn't working so what the heck. Do it. Nobody flies T3 for a free cup of coffee and a Jordan's cereal bar so they may as well try and monetise what they've got.
Charging crazy fares out of Aberdeen during the boom times worked well back in the day. However today is a different story.

Sorry to hijack, but following on from my queries over on the flybe thread. Does anyone reckon T3 might have a better chance of making MAN-NCL work on a 29 seat Js41 as opposed to Flybe on a 78 seat Dash 8?
Security fast track, dedicated gate, good onboard service, I reckon people would go for £49/£59 one way. The lack of codeshare partners vs Flybe may also present a challenge but that's not to say they couldn't be developed
