Does anyone know how other routes out of LPL are doing? - have been told that BHD is performing well above initial expectations and that additional rotations had been mooted.
The figures for complete months ex Liverpool with flyBE:

BELFAST CITY
March - 10150
April - 9968

GLASGOW
April 2189

EDINBURGH
April 2284

FlyBe SOU-LBA..What a shambles !!

5 times I've booked this route and 4 times the flight has been delayed, today being 3 hrs due to tech aircraft. Eastern will do from now on, despite their fares.
FlyBe were bad for delays when they had the F27s and they're still as bad or possibly worse now with their new D8-400's !!

Would think a Saturday only flight, or a daily triangle route with JER.

The NWI - JER route is very well patronised so I doubt that a triangular route would service demand.

Almost certainly to be a weekend service, but very welcome all the same.

Flybe at EXT

Was looking on a website today and it seems that the BAe fleet isnt being used from end of october at EXT, PAR is going to be a Q400 as well as LBA and NCL routes that are at the moment a 146-200. Any ideas as to why this is??

I heard it was going to be used on the EXT - GLA route from the autumn. They always seem to be redeploying them around their network.

Devonair - it's quite simple really, the loads do not warrent running a 146 on the service which is expensive to run makes more economic sense to put a q400 on the route with paxs loads that average about 60-65 paxs per flt.

Please Sir, Mr Flybe if you are reading this would you kindly start an Exeter to Brussels service cos if you live on that sticky out bit West of Exeter the only choice is drive to Bristol and get the expensive SN flight or drive to Heathrow and pay the Pink Elephant man a fortune to leave the car! Think about it, you know you want to do it and a littlee jet would be perfect and save me so much bother!

Thank you.

What I've done in the past is fly to Paris CDG and take the train from Paris (Nord) to Brussels. Its only takes about 1 hour 25 mins and certainly beats going up to Heathrow and arguably the trip via Bristol with SN.

flybe emergency landing

Just seen this on BBC and from friends at LBA airport

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/w...re/4744837.stm

just a quick question which concerns me - why have the cabin crew got smoke masks but they haven't got any for the passengers??!?! Most others seem to have smoke masks as standard for pax??????

Any reason????? Surely not cost!!!

Are you confusing smoke hoods with oxygen masks for use in the event of pressurisation failure?

I don't know any airline that carries smoke hoods for passengers.

sorry yes - I meant the oxygen masks - the crew had smoke hoods. However why don't they have any oxygen masks on board!!!! Surely they are needed in case something like this happened???

Wrong. There are no drop down oxygen masks on Dash 8. One of the reasons it doesn't go above FL250. There is therapeutic oxygen on board.
