(KUT) to London Luton Airport (LTN) is 2095 miles 3372 kilometers, 1821 nautical miles.
eric - thanks for the physical distance data; was rather hoping somebody familiar with Airbus performance data and plausible winds might be able to provide their opinion...

Not a problem for the aircraft (as LTN-KUT is 2-400 miles shorter than the longest existing Wizz flights - BUD-DWC and BUD-TFS) but the crew duty time would be an issue (if the crew does not start from LTN).

Be interesting to see what happens at Katowice with Wizz and possible competition from Ryanair, since apparently there may be upheaval at Krakow Airport who have just appointed former president Kamil Kaminski to Chairman of the airport which many believe could result in some changes being made and shake-ups happening.
Kaminski has connections with LOT Polish Airlines and more tellingly with Polish State Airports (PPL), who Ryanair have had a rocky relationship with over many years and the current president of Krakow Airport previous was quite outspoken about how Kaminski mis-managed the airport in his stint as president.
There's also reports that Polish State Airports are attempting to buy out a much larger stake in Warsaw Modlin Airport, and operating that and Chopin Airport as a duo airport strategy, which has raised some eyebrows because many felt PPL were not very supportive of the airport over a long period and suddenly they become more interested.
Ryanair are weary of that, because they believe it will stifle the growth of the airport and that may well be one of the primary reasons behind PPL talking about it, but would probably be good news to Wizz who traditionally have a better relationship with PPL, although LOT would probably come off better than anyone, with it's fellow state company having both airports in the Warsaw area under their control.
However the Krakow developments could possibly allow Wizz a good opportunity to start operating from Krakow, although on the other hand if Ryanair get a bad deal at Krakow they could go after Wizz at Katowice.

Quite strange to announce Reykjavík and Bari for winter season. Also with inconvient times for Bari (which would be OK for a VFR route but not for a niche tourist destination in low season).

3 or 4 KUN routes are just tranfering from VNO, will be interesting to see how FR react while not directly impacting them they have scaled back at KUN and now that Wizz are in town they might lose their dominance on charges!
