Jamesair, is the HCY service a scheduled flight or chartered by a tour operator?

Thomson Holidays have cancelled Taba flights for 2006/2007.

XLA will base a 757 G reg a/c next summer, together with 737-800. The 757 could possible swap to a leased AY a/c though. And there will be no winter base next year for XLA.

Does anyone know if Freebird will return next summer and what times?

HH6702, I\'m sure that I am not the only one would appreciates you looking into those timetables. Look forward to viewing them.

TRANSWEDE

The Paphos - NCL is one of four once weekly flights announced, the others are Larnaca - MAN, Paphos - MAN and Paphos - LGW.
I assume they are scheduled but no further information available yet.

I think we have now seen all the expansion possible for S06, with extra charters, extra loco services by Thomsonfly, FlyBe, Jet2 and schedule/route changes by easy and Ryanair, together with new full service flights by Eastern. Should this kind of expansion carry on, on a regular basis Newcastle will become a real competitor to the likes of BHX and MAN.

While I know the charter schedules are more than likely to change before the start of the season, XLA's current programme on a Mon and Fri needs 4 aircraft to complete it.

Mo - 0630/1305 MAH (short 6 week series Only)
0700/1655 DLM (changes to 1435 dep when MAH starts)
1000/1925 FNC
1025/1735 BJV
making 3 aircraft required

Fr - 0700/1650 KVA
0700/1510 PVK
0700/1655 DLM
0900/1900 JSI/VOL
2030/0505 CFU
making 4 a/c needed unless KVA/PVK is going to do a double drop

Also I think BMI will operate the EFL sunday flight again.

XLA will be using a 757 a/c, G or OH reg and more than likely a 738, though rumours of a subbed aircraft have also been circulating.

I also think, in my personal opinion that XLA could make a good go at having a year round operation at NCL. Proving they are cost effective to charters and tour operators, there are numerous flights which they could operate. Come on XLA, make NCL a real year round op. Afterall and aircraft and expansion is great news for the airport.

Do you know which tour operator is chartering these 3 OHY flights to BJV, DLM and AYT?

Thomsonfly will also base 2 a/c for W06/07, 1 757 and 1 737, possibly a -800.

EASYJET SUMMER 2006

Budapest now on sale MON/WED/FRI/SUN only, Stansted also on sale almost same as last summer but just 2Xdaily on some Sats July/Aug probably to allow flights to Ibiza. note no inbound Stansted W on Sat night!
This now seems to indicate a 6 aircraft operation. No 7 would need at least 3 new routes, and looks increasingly unlikley?? at the moment.

Bristol is not fully owned by Macquarie of Oz.

The Spanish group, Ferrovial, owns half as well.

The owners have spent heavily on improving infrastructure in recent years and there is more to come.

From the point of view of a customer the ownership seems to be nothing but positive so I suspect Newcastle can expect even further enhancement of its already successful operation.

I was under the impression that NCL were only 49% owned by CPH? The rest being local authorities
