Summer 2005
I picked up a charter list for summer 2005 at the airport dated October 2004 today. I presume it is out of date but there were of couple of things I didnt expect to see
Under Fuerteventura Thomson where listed as a tour operator with seats on the flight - I presume the flights are still axed?
There was a listing for Malta with 'To Be Confirmed' next to it. Tour operators where Belleair, Sunspot and Airtours. Presume this is not happening now?
Thanks

The Fuerteventura has been advertised for 2 years running now but has never actually happened. Personally I don't think there is sufficient demand for an FUE from HUY in the summer months, in the winter, maybe.
Malta was served a few years back for several summer and winter seasons. There is undoubtedly a market for a HUY-MLA flight however, Thomson are offering a BY operated flight from nearby DSA, so the market is again diluted further.
There is a (somtimes proven) market for flights from HUY to Malaga, Funchal, Monastir, Malta, Varna, Corfu, Rhodes and Paphos at least, however with DSA on the scene, it is unlikely HUY's summer charter programme will gain many new flights in the future.
Regards
Mike

A mini update on the summer 2005 HUY programme as it now stands:
The Tuesday Heraklion flight is to be operated by Eurocypria 737-800s and not by Viking.
The Mytravel Saturday Palma will now be operated by Spanair and not LTE.
The Friday Tenerife South will now be operated by LTE and not Air Europa.
The Monday Bodrum flight will now be operated by Pegasus and not Onur Air.
Regards
Mike
