This is a quote from THIS thread posted on 15th May
A creditors meeting will be held next week or the week after. It's being wound up. I wonder how NG feels now Maybe would have got off the ground if someone else had been at the front leading......

Looks like PPRuNe is, as always, first with the news.

It was a correct statement, so sadly, I was right.
Rest assured, I am not an insider. Just someone in the know.

Many of us predicted that Now would never fly and we were admonished for our views. I hope that some of you now have red faces for not listening.

Now thread and here

It could never have worked, however I know people (cabin crew) who left their jobs to join Nowwhich is the real tragedy.

Aviation Rule One: Never join an airline that has no aircraft especially if it has a completely unworkable business plan!

The road to hell is littered with these type of fly-by-nights!

It wasn't so much the business plan that was at fault. Fixed fares policy works for others. What scuppered this airline was the man who founded it then tried to manage it. He really should have stuck to flying 737's. It's a shame NOW didn't get airborne though. The people who joined were all professionals and highly motivated individuals. What remains to be seen is whether LW will make a try of it as mentioned on the website or whether he will just out it to bed.

Good luck to all those who were let down. I hope you found new employment quickly.

Lars intends trying again soon. Not sure when though. And as for NG-stay away this time.

Bacardi walla,

It is clear to me from your posts that you have no idea about business or management, I can see why you and JMC MAN get on so well.

For whatever reason you have an axe to grind with NG, perhaps he refused you a position in Now? I don't know him well, but was going to join Now and met him a few times during visits to the office, mainly last year. I found him and LW to be very switched on, well respected amoung the folks in the office, and very dedicated to Now and the staff.

Somehing you may not know during your "slag off" posts is that they paid the staff salaries for December out of their own pockets. - wish I worked for someone like that !!

Try getting your facts sorted before going into print next time.

DH

Dirty Harry NG offered me a job last June, yes that's one year ago. He then went into decline mode by not answering questions put to him. I then had to seek information from the next person up the chain, i.e LW and found him 100% more informative. The only axe I have to grind is that when someone offers me a job, I like them to at least keep me informed as to progress and not leave me out in the dark.

As for staff not being paid, I was advised by a friend of mine who was working there that she never got paid when she was laid off. So, she wasn't paid out of someone's personal pockets.

There, those are my facts and I've printed them. I was one of many hoping that NOW got off the ground, but as time went on, I did become like jmc-man and became more aware that it was a dead duck waiting to sink.

Clear enough for you ?

fmgc:

What a considerate and mature attitude: "I hope you're all embarassed about working for an airline that failed". I really hope I never meet you, as I don't believe you're mature enough to work in this industry. No-one likes to read such smartarsed remarks as what you posted above.

There were sceptics, most notably JMC-man, who were proved to be spot on in their predictions, but they never made the issue personal, and never relished someone else's mis fortune. Bury your head in shame.

Bacardi Walla,

Thanks for the response.

My understanding has come from a source at the top, I know for a fact that salries for December were paid from personal funds, thereafter people were laid off without pay from January onwards - seen the letter.

If you were taken on in June you must have been employed by Now, or what was the story?
