Precision Air ATR-42-600 blows tyres

A Precision Air ATR-42-600 reportedly blew all MLG tyres upon landing at Arusha recently.
Precision stated in a press release that the plane suffered "tyre deflation".
Look at the photo and judge yourself....

Precision Air ATR-42-600 blows tyres

You're absolutely right. They are hiding something. There was pilot incapacitation, an engine fire and also they ran out of coffee!

Tire deflation?.... more like massive tire explosion... another hard landing?

Emergency Breaking???

This reminds me of the incident the now dead Cimber Sterling had.
During flight the pilots discussed whether the A/C could be brought to a safe stop with the emergency braking set before landing.
So they tested this and found it not good. The antiskid never engaged and therefor they blew all the main tyres.

All tyres burst?? A fairly new airlplane this was! Question is will we know the truth anytime soon??Human Factors highly probable but let us not discount posibility of aerodrome authority's negligence in ensuring runway is fit for service.

Precision Air crew are known for engaging the park brake after take off instead of using the toe brakes according to the engineer who did the tyre replacement. Was it still engaged on landing? who knows.

engineer rumours

These folk are intimate with both the aircraft and the pilots that fly them with all their idiosyncracies..I bet that Parking brake habit might be a corroborting factor..there is Take Off config warning but no Landing config warning except for EGPWS for Flaps and Gear on ATR as well as most planes I think..but am sure ECAM indication on the -600 must have annunciated something unsusual. It must have been a short sector for them to have forgotten..or just a talkative cockpit (with all the recent Managerial overhauls at PW)..Before descent the first item you check is CCAS..and recall any leftover abnormalities.Am sure Parkingbrake would have iluinated(unless faulty light).
