Why don't you fancy Maun??
Tanzania and everywhere in Africa these days have enough local CPL holders looking for a job.Some go a mile further to obtain a c208 rating and the like or have instructor ratings and and are unemployed.Lots of JAA/EAsA CPL jobs in europe though..especially if rated on A320 or 737NG...everyone is buying ratings these days...or get left behind.Sadly.

africa jobs
No jobs in Tanzania for foreigners full stop.Even East Africans can't find work there..same goes for Botswana..minimum 800hrs and rated and experienced on C206 and you have to be there during horing season...and I think if not a Motswana...certain races or religions..apparently might l not qualify for theses "coveted" bush baby palnes jobs in Maun.

hi guys !
it came a moment in my life when i decided to move to Kenya. Im working there since some time for charity programme and trevelling btw Africa and Europe once every month.
I have CPL/ME/IR frozen ATPL and over 2000 hours, im also instructor ...
Im not interested in work for airline now and in the future, looking for a work at schools or company flying 208, LET or smaller aircraft.
Does any of you has any sugestion ?

There are a good selection of small outfits working the game reserves, mainly C206 and C208. The only way to get work with them is by personal contact, you just have to get out there and meet them then stay in contact.

B190/BE20 jobs
Hi guys, am freshly rated on the b190 and be20, with just over 1000hrs, i have around 30 hours on the b190 and am wondering where would i be able to find something interesting for flying either of these planes, i do have a South African frozen ATPL and multi-engine IR.

Flying in Kenya for expats
Lots of unemployed Kenyan experienced pilots there and Ministry of labour is no longer relaxed about issuing permits to foreign pilots.Kenya Airways tried and was ditched.I don't suppose Kenyans can get jobs in France?

You could get a job in France IF you had what it takes, of course also the right of work in EU, and the right attitude.

Mate, you'd probably be a bit more likely to find something in Tanzania - which is also a bit more of an "welcoming" place for pilots to start out - than shockingly corrupt Kenya. Although I don't think the general Kenyans pilots are as hostile as our "rafiki" here!
There was an outfit - and I trust there still is - out of Dar es Salaam called Safari Plus, operating B1900D's. Otherwise with a 1000H+ you may wanna check out eg. Coastal Aviation also out of Dar, TZ.
Like the "Greek" said - you'd probably have to "rock up" at location - armed with lots of patience and finances to hang around for a few months. Bring certified original logbook and everything related to licensing that you can! Don't leave home with out anything in that rank.

I want to work in Kenya and knowing myselfe if there will be no job I will create one. seriously, thinking about two small airplanes there and start my own buisness. why not ? i know some people in Kenya and went through lot of discussions how bad condition of fleet and level of training is. Lets start training for PPL/CPL pilots and proper ground school.

Unless you have one or two small planes sitting in your backyard and got nothing else to do with them and your money I honestly do not think that this is a very good idea.
There's plenty operators around these days doing all kinds of stuff and it'll be hard to find that niché that creates enough revenue to sustain your dream. Plus all those fees and levys you pay as an operator work in a way that there is no chance to be a "small enterprise". You will be forced to grow, you simply have to, to stay competitive and not run out of money.
That being said: Tanzania is worse, far worse. They might just manage to bring their whole aviation industry to a grinding halt in the near future. At least the Kenyans woke up a while ago and things are moving there.

340, one of the reasons you may be finding it difficult to get a job is due to your past decisions. If I understand correct your previous employer paid for your rating but was then forced to retrench you. Notwithstanding the fact that you were paid 2 months retrenchment salary and they wrote off the bond for the rating you still took them to the CCMA. You lost the matter and had your ass handed to you.
Its a small industry and everyone hears about these things quickly. No one wants to employ an arrogant spoilt brat that will take them to the CCMA in the end so ergo, you can't get a job.
