Whats wrong mr moderator, too close to the truth, or what? Obviously one of those described in the original text reported me, huh?
Not so brave dave, Why dont you save me the trouble and enlighten me/us with your pearls of wisdom? I'm sure you DID the trouble of calling them, pray tell!
FM .. call Eurocopter Bru, and ask them how many Frelons are not flying and why, then come back and chat. (something you should have done before you jumped in)

Reptile, your late again, by violating the rules, all his credibility goes out the window.
It (Frelon) certainly looks pretty but so did the Huey. Paint does wonders.
Frelonius. Maybe we should call him the Don of the Helibase as he is so happy flying the old thing...Done right I probably would be also......
Frelonius since you are a pilot, trained way back when and currently hanging your SA License out for the CAA to grab (dont sweat that), lets get a few things on the board... Some folks consider certain things scrap when they sit for 10 years?, 20 years? or more, then someone changes the oil, paints them and gives them a good bill of health... I do believe that if a "Factory Rep" ( not Dog Pound)were allowed to give his opinion , he would say that many things done to get that thing off the ground require that they be inspected somewhere other than Helibase and more than likely somewhere out of the country. We know that costs money and we also know that aint happening with the helibase crowd anytime soon..........Therin lies the "Crap or Scrap" terms so widely used when describing Helibase.
I guess it boils down to Balls and Brains, you appear to have more of one than the other, you figure it out.
By the way the very first aircraft flown by the Wright Brothers has less than five hundred hours, doubt that I would fly that either....
Im sure somehow you knew I was going to throw in my two cents......... Dont get so pissed off and you wont get edited.....This is not a personal issue, its a discussion. Your starting to sound like Latent Heat.

Would be a pitty to see your credibility head south

No freedom of speech here, unless its to slag off Helibase and whatever they endeavour to do. Methinks our beloved moderator was 'one of those described above' perhaps, protectin the untarnishable image of his pals?

Which rules would those be, Bert? P'raps you saw the original post?
Sasless
Similarities between the U.K. operation and helibase is one went by the rules which costs money. The other didnt.....Guess which one.

Further the "if you live in a Glass house" applies as you are the one who is hanging your Pilots license out for all to view. In a normal world it would determine if you would ever be hired by another company. It appears in Africa thats not a concern.

SASless, thanx. Beautiful effort. She looks stunning.
Farm pilot, Are you dof or what? This thread alone would make a whole series, not just a feature!
Happy hovering, gotta go fly (in) a Super Frelon!

So, is the Huey flying again as LH said it would or was that just another helibase mentality statement?
The eviction order still stands in the Waterfront but I dont have any new news regarding the CAA grounding/investigation. ..
As Bert said, its like pissing into the wind with the CAA and these okes

Take a chance
From what I have heard,CAA have now decided to play the same game as the Heli-Base okies.
"If you want to fly the Huey,be it at your own peril".
So,the docket was handed to a certain SAP official of the lower ranks, who by the way,is a pretty pissed off puppy.
In the docket is a page that reads,"Huey un-airworthy".
This now leaves it simple.
Any ******** who decides to fly the Huey without an air-worthy cirtificate will just get arrested,AND not necessarily when he comes in to land,as,as I said this policeman of the lower ranks is actually a mean son of a bitch and very sadistic at the best of times.
Could just happen on a Friday,or at the beginning of a long week-end....(and there is already a warrant of arrest out for one unsuspecting peeloot).
Any takers??????????????.

Now thats where LH comes into play. He should sell tickets just so we could watch the interaction between the Police and Helibase.
It will either be the exchange of Money or someone going to the Gray Bar Hotel.......

I went to the official launch party for the Super Frelon. It certainly looks impressive.
Likewise the two Hueys which were displayed outside.
I was told that the first flight of the second Huey, appropriately registered ZU-UHI , will soon take place.
Good Luck with this one!
I have posted some pictures on my website:

Been watching this soapie for some time and it sure takes the boredom out of the day! Almost blotted my copy book some years back by doing ad-hoc work when it was still WIN but saw the writing then and baled out.
Methinks LH and FM aren't able to pick up proper jobs elsewhere and that's why they cling to the threads of this sad operation. Would also like to know why somebody would need to be so defensive of an operation like this if it was all above board? If it was all OK, then the CAA would never be there other than for normal regulatory visits and there would not be the ongoing legal action.
Let's all hope that somehow this sorry mess of a so called "helicopter business" is soon closed before the big one.

Well, We are coming to the end of another profitable year for the Helibase crowd. They are so busy flying unsuspecting tourists that they havent even time to say thanks to all who have put them in the news.
Consider all that has been posted here. Unregistered Aircraft flying daily, Unlicensed Pilots earning a great living and Mechanics with limited knowledge doing all the repairs. Probably quite a few repairs parts in the future, if they can just sucker someone with another Helicopter.
Now with the Frelon flying, untold amounts of money to be made providing the tourists dont get scattered across the landscape....
But not to worry, rumor has it they have saved a ton of money by not insuring anything, even those confident pilots.
We all wish them well and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Come on LH, its a rumor forum, tell us about the New Car your getting from the Boss.......
