Glad to hear All is well........... Bootie, Loot, good terms when used in conjunction with money at Helibase....

BILLS! What BILLS??

Besides, booty and loot is never used to pay bills. It is used to buy Tassies and for "JAWLING"!!

Hey Big B. Look me up next time you are in the big D.

Apparently it is now up to the sherrif to enforce the judgement....which is....to keep the Huey on the ground.

Dunno how the sherrif will do that but Helibase/Helicopter & Marine services/Huey Exterme Club/madiba Air & Sea/and whatever other companies they use/ is contravening a constitutional court order which is a criminal offence.

You might as well fly drunk...same thing

Guess there is no stopping the Huey folks.

Huey down

Eisch

The mighty Huey has fallen.

Sitting at home listening on my radio,I heard the Huey declare an emergency, whilst coming back from an "Extreme" flight up the West coast.

They had a tail rotor failure.

Pilot J G ,managed to put it down at Ysterplaat as they were basicaly abeam Ysterplaat.

Not sure if there are any injuries although there were pax on board and also not sure what damage to the Huey.

Well Bert,"You told us so".

Eisch

It was bound to happen....Now, the huey is suppose to be grounded according to the Court order on 1/12/05 and as we ALL know, is illegal. Should the pax be injured they might be in for some heavy claims. Wonder what the CAA is going to do???

Legal ....???? who knows.

If it was a Tail Rotor Failure - extreme flight = low level, then we are lucky the pilot got it down in one piece (hopefully) at all.

Hope it was in one piece.!!!!! and nobody hurt.

Now why do I think this thread was "planted"???

There's enough on this forum covering the Huey and the Frelon. Why???...just asking.

Somebody else is going to have to confirm on this before I take the hook.
If its true, good that nobody got hurt, tail rotor loss can be an interesting situation...
Is this just a rumor??

Bakela, if you have read the extremely long threads on the issue, you should not have to ask the question....

Well now...

T/R failure can happen to the best of us....no matter what we do...but the odds do go up as the quality of the bits strays from perfect.

This will be an interesting situation if All of the information about the heritage of the aircraft in question is "true".
