Gunns, whats part of the ribs under the grill did you not understand??? Anyway.

For the rest of you, the Law School Demon obtained a Court Order which released the Huey back to us.

Tomorrow, after a nice wash (to get all Brombugs grubby finger prints off everywhere) the Huey will be back in business. (yes, in the waterfront)

Im off this weekend and when i hear the Huey come past i will sit back with a nice big snug smile - we have won again.

Mr Brombug has the whole of next year to try again but he must hurry....old age is catching up.

Just a thought, maybe we should donate a Huey to the CAA ...stand it at the main gate to remind themselves that the Huey will be around for a loooong time yet.

Come on LH, the more you post the more you show ignorance as to the reality of the situation......Quit lowering your standards even if there is room to do so. Your being the Masters Mouthpiece has you sounding like a 10 year old who had his little red wagon stolen.

whilst other sh*t themselfs as the Huey is about to return
Unfortunately they may be ******* themselves in fear of where the thing may be falling out of the sky..

Again if you wish to discredit someone use the proper name .Its Broberg and you at least owe him that. You can be critical with some respect. The name as you post it clarifies a certain Trailer Trash image some are gathering of your posts.

Well said Bert, it seems like serious sour grapes from Helibase.

Actually a donation of all of them may get more tax credits than they are worth. Better yet give them to your Durban Brothers, they can make quick work of scrap metal..

Weekend is here, should be slow posting until Monday. lets see what happens then in the never ending saga......This thing is better than Soapies. Tune in then..............

Well, saw the Huey this morning back at Helibase, busy doing ground runs. Looks like the trip to builders depot and a few nails and screws later and the Huey is back with a "BANG"...

Bribes does wonders in this country!

Note to self: Get more cash and bribe my way through aviation.

Yip Glimmer ...

Instead of rebuidling the twak ... they should sit back and reflect ..

Think about the fact that their worry beads are running out of grease.

Also their luck might not be so great next time ...

God Bless their (un-informed) pax.

Since the start of this thread, I’ve been wondering why professional pilots would fly for a circus like hellibase.

Thanx to Laten Heat’s last reply, the question has been answered. Those lads may be professional pilots in the sense that:

a. they are professional because they get paid for what they do.

b. they are pilots because they have a piece of paper from CAA that says they are pilots.

They are certainly not aviators. No true aviator would ever get involved in the crap that is going on around that Huey.

LatenHeat - I’m afraid that after your last reply, you are henceforth classed along with gants and the other jam stealers. No input from you can ever be taken serious again. Feel free to post some snotty reply - but don't expect reaction from me.

To quote Daedalus: “ Beware, dear son of my heart, lest in thy new-found power thou seekest even the gates of Olympus…These wings may bring thy freedom but may also come thy death.”

Amen.

Reptile, your way, way over the boys head. hes still in the world of prose such as "This little Piggy went to Market "...etc

they are pilots because they have a piece of paper from CAA that says they are pilots.
Actually I think that may be a bit much. Its not a requirement at helibase, nor are Registration, Air Worthiness, Insurance and all that stuff.
IF the CAA had their act together this would not be on PPrune. The ops would have been shut down long ago. Gerry B is a prefect example of attempting to do the right thing, but with no support (as I see it) its like pissing in the wind. Good for Helibase, not good for the rest of South African Aviation. Surprisingly the major South African Publications have not picked up on this, guess they also may have their tails between their legs.
Point being its Carte Blanche for other operators who were looking over their shoulders when streching the limits. Helibase has shown that with enough cho cho, the rules have gone out the window in the New Africa.

Sad part about this whole sorry saga is that as, when and if a real accident arises, resulting in serious injuries (or worse), each and every person involved in the Huey operation will likely become personally liable.

This won't stop with The Main Man/Men. The pilot(s), the person who took the booking and promoted the concept, the engineers who worked on the airplane, even the apprentice who did nothing more than hand the engineer his tools, will all get dragged in because of their personal involvement in getting the machine into the air.

Even the CAA and its officials are likely to get pulled in through its/their lack of effectivity.

And NONE of them will be able to claim "but I didn't know".

If they all think that the boss will bail them out, using his own resources, they are naive and probably deserve everything they get.

Without any insurance coverage, there will be a large number of personal bankruptcies.

And perhaps that's the real tragedy.

Sand Iron, you are more than correct in a normal world. As for most there though I think the threat of litigation would be considered as "squeezing Blood from a Turnip" most that I have met have zero to worry about as they live from hand to mouth.
The head(s) of the dung heap have been in the game long enough to know "Thou shalt not keep any material items in thy name". One of the first commandments in being a first class scam artist.

FACT 1: PA of Supervan has walked off after 18 years service. Someone seen the light.

FACT 2: Gary F dissapeared (with his toolbox) last Tuesday. Another one seen the light.

RUMOUR 1 : Blades comes from Dornier.

RUMOUR 2: A "few"components stolen from the SWFA Huey was found on the Huey after the tail rotor incident.

Over to you LH (you still there or seen the light between your booze and braai ? )

PS: CAACHIEF - this is a good circus to watch

I'm betting y'all watch THE BOLD N THE BEAUTIFUL too!!!

What makes you think the Super Frelon is scrap, by the way?

I dunno which part of the SAAF you sanctimonius bunch were in, ............................................... If it was so great, why'd y'all leave anyway? There were and are still those who are in the SA Airforce for AVIATION, but unfortunately there were those that simply had nowhere else to go.

I was one of the many who joined the SAAF with stars in my eyes, only to wake up with a serious bump and a 7 yr sentence! I learned what I could and got the HELL OUT!

I love the helo I qualified on and now have the chance to be involved with one again. BONUS!! With only 500 hrs on the a/f it can hardly be scrap.

YOU OKES ARE A GRAP!(joke)

I think I'm gonna go look for a film producer!

Safe polling everyone

Bert, unfortunately the Scorpions have already charged her, way back, along with Supers in the WIN nothing lose it all scam. Protective custody, witness protection scheme is her best route, prehaps she is on it!!

FM .. call Eurocopter Bru, and ask them how many Frelons are not flying and why, then come back and chat. (something you should have done before you jumped in)
