That's very good of you to post contact details of the operator for the lone BE-76. Everyone can also email them. It is worth making a trip to Patna, if one can, if that is what required to get the job done.

Is anyone aware if the same rule will also appy to the Twin Commanche as it also has the same story as the duchess. The only Twin Commanche in India is with Carver Aviation and is out of service for years.
Any Inputs would be helpful.

Another format of the letter to the DGCA
Many thanks to harsh for taking it over to DGCA. Also be advised he is either going on monday or tuesday.
To,
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation
Aurbindo Marg,
Opp Safdarjung Airport,
New Delhi
Sub: Concern regarding disapproval of training aircrafts (Beech Duchess 76/Piper Seminole)
Respected Sir,
My name is James Bond. I am currently undergoing training to be a Multi-Commercial Pilot in the USA. I am in the midst of my training when I came to know that Beech Duchess 76 is no longer approved. It also came to my notice that other good trainer aircrafts like the Piper Seminole/Piper Cherokee aren’t in the list as well.
Sir these aircrafts especially the Duchess and Seminole are the best for initial multi engine training and are used worldwide. It is difficult to find that kind of training in any other aircraft.
Myself and a lot of other students have been forced to stall their training and look for other aircrafts which are a little difficult to find and expensive.
I hereby request you to look into this matter and come up with a decision both in favor of the pilots and the honorable DGCA.
Thank you and I appreciate your time.
Respectfully,
James Bond

Raavan,
I didn't email the DGCA. Our good comrade harsh is willing to take a scanned/signed copy of this letter to the DGCA.
I know they don't do email. I have been waiting for my Class 1 date at AFCME since the last 5 months as they told me to take an appointment via email and no reply yet. So I know how they are.

It's all just rumors.
It is not possible that the DGCA suddenly stop endorsing the BE76 as the CoA hasn't been valid from 18/02/2008,which is more than 3years back. There have been over a 1000 licenses issued with the BE76 as a multi endorsement.
According to the CARs the a/c has to be only REGISTERED in India. The BE-76 is very much REGISTERED in India and this information is available on their website, including the current status that says "Registered".Here is a link to prove the same : DETAILS OF AIRCRAFT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER VT
If you go by the CoA being valid, there are numerous a/c like the Twin Apache which have expired and would be catastrophic to everyone training/completed their training.
This website is aptly named as the "PP Rumor Network"!

Thanks to all the people who made an effort and emailed me the copy of their letters showing there concern on this issue.
I have submitted the letters to DGCA today and hoping to see some action being taken.
@issues.
I checked with DAW..directorate of airworthiness.
They show only PA34-220T on their list with C of A valid.
There were one more person who was asking about seneca and was given the same reply.
However, i know people who have been given ratings on PA34-200 before and recently till 2010.

I was also at the DGCA office on Monday to enquire about the endorsement on the Piper Seneca and was informed by the Airworthiness Directorate that they will only endorse the type of Piper Seneca who's COA is valid in India.
As per this, the only Seneca that will be endorsed is PA34 220T which to me does not make sense at all. The DGCA type tech exam for the PA34 is a generic exam. However, they are getting into details (220T,200T etc.) on the type flown in the foreign country when they endorse the PA34.

They say that they are simply following the rules. The COA's of most twin aircrafts have been expired for years. Until the operators dont get them renewed, there is no way that this problem will be solved.
I would request people to raise the issues re the Seneca with the DGCA in the coming few days and update us incase they find something different.
I have personally put my multi-training on Hold as I am not sure which specific type of Seneca will be accepted by the DGCA.

Hi
Please open this link.
AIRCRAFT
Go to APPROVED FIRMS on the left hand side and open Eastern region.pdf in Region wise approval section and find Beech duchess 76.
It shows under Serial no. 16 - Govt. of Bihar and validity of approval is 02-08-2011.
What's this mean?

Show me one place in the regs where it says that the CoA has to be valid?!
I know a bunch of people who have got their licenses issued with a BE76 endorsement as late as beginning of this year(which is almost 3years after the CoA had expired).
