NOC with IR Lapsed

Hello frnds,

I have got the NOC for B737NG type rating and my IR is lapsed , but in NOC a general point is written that the licence medical and ratings of the trainee pilot should be current during the training and cheks.

Please comment , whether one should renew IR before going for type?

Thanks

yeah its madness to rush for type rating without job assurance....i went to DGCA to get my NOC on B737NG...i asked them and they told me ,more then 1000 NOCs issued till 09/07/2010....So,now im not going for type rating.

Hello guys!

I'm curious. This NOC. How does that work? If you take the type rating out side of a DGCA TRTO what are the minimum requirements of the training in order to get an endoresment?

Who applies for the NOC? The TRTO or you?

Thanks,

RR

737Ng SSTR

doesn't look like a good idea to get one,,just heard 90 guys in AI are scheduled to train for the 737NG and ground school has been going on for a while now.these are 40 guys who were put on the triple seven's ,but now shifted to 737's for what ever internal reasons (you may call it shortage),+ 50 cadet pilots (engineers) on the 737's,,that's around 90 odd people on it,,,,
and jet of course has got their 40-50 odd guys for the 737Ng also,,
future on the 737 seems volatile ,,specially with so many SSTR's in prospect..
,an A320 might just be the better way to go.(MAY BE) that's if you really want a TR.

@Ridge Runner..
well its you who applies for the NOC..once you get that from the DGCA,,it lays down the requirement which needs to be fulfilled by you at any TRTO.So first thing first get an NOC,,refer to the requirements and follow it so as to be eligible to apply for an endorsement on the DGCA lic as well.

well requirements are given to you in NOC itself so you need not search on site as you wont find anything

Yes, you do need the NOC before carrying out training abroad.

You need to submit a written request to CFOI (FID) for the same.

Im surprised though ... are you guys completely on your own on this one ?

No assistance from the airline at all in even getting this little bit of paperwork done ??

so no one till now has really clearly mentioned whether IR validity is a must before one goes for their type rating.
Am guessing the rules will be same for the B200.
Any input on IR before type is done will be highly appreciated.
thanks

I have a question to ask.....

All the airlines which make u do type rating in India... won't they want the candidates to do the type rating with them only....
I mean.. The airlines which have set up their Simulators in India only, would prefer the candidates doing type rating with them and in return get half or watever cost of the rating in return..
In this way they can make money and recover the cost of simulators and even make profit on that... ?????

Would appreciate if people can tel abt the costs of DGCA approved Type Rating on different aircraft along with TRTO.. !!

Post No Use For 737 Type Rating

I WAS PLANNING FOR CAE TYPE RATING DUBAI FOR 737-NG FROM RJ ACADEMY
BUT GOT NEWS FROM RELIABLE SOURCE THAT MORE THAN 1600 NOC ISSUED BY DGCA ALMOST 90% FOR 737-NG. BUT COMPARATIVE VERY LESS 320 RATED PILOTS. I AM CONFUSED TOTALLY. ALSO I CANT RISK A HUGE SUM OF MONEY INVESTED FOR TYPE RATING ALSO HEARD THAT MORE THAN 300 APPLICATION FOR JET WITH 737-NG. WHATS THE BEST OPTION AVAILABLE NOW
