Hello,
I am an indian CPL holder. But my indian RT has lapsed in sept 2010. I am in the USA. can I still do my 737 type rating after taking N.O.C from DGCA , do my type rating without valid indian RT, renew my RT & submit my papers for endorsment after renewing the RT.
The school is ok with the lapsed RT here in USA

NOC for Type Rating from Indian DGCA
Hi Friends iam willing to do a Self sponsored type rating on B-737NG and have collected all the documents required for it. But my agent has told me to submit them at Mumbai DGCA Regional office, as all the students who went through him have done it at Mumbai itself. Whereas the DGCA people at Mumbai say that it should be submitted at FID delhi.
Hoping to get a help on this.
Regards,
FMSguru

NOC not required now. But you need to send some documents from TRTO or FTO to DGCA in a sealed envelope before training commencement. For other changes that took place on this topic, click on the following: CAR Section 7 Series 'B' Part XIX - Procedure for undergoing Endorsement Training on aircraft used for Scheduled, Non-Scheduled and General Aviation Operations.

Anyone who did their TR recently, what are the NOC requirements? Technically one doesn't need that NOC from DGCA anymore, but then what exactly are the documents required to be submitted before the commencement of the TR?
Help appreciated.
Help appreciated.

FAQ about Rating!!
1. Which is the best option for TR in terms of finding a quick job in India/anywhere, 737 or 320 or ATR? Why?
2. Which is the cheapest and reliable place for each of the TR in the world?
3. Once Type Rated, the recency expires within 6 months. If we don't find a job by then, can we still apply for the airlines and get current after being selected or should we be current to even apply?
4. Is this the right time to get a TR or should wait for this slump period to pass?
5. Is it best to wait to be selected or Self sponsored TR?
6. Whats the haggling that has to be done with DGCA for NOC or other stuff for TR?
