I'm flying as a hobby now, paying to fly thus I can't fly alot as it quite ex. But once u start flying u can't really stop as they say. Though I wished what u say was true.
Second interview questions is tailored according to each individual, most people have atleast one tech question. But shd nt be too hard, duration of interview is not a indicator. I went in for 30mins still failed.
I gt alot of support and help from this forum, and here I wish all aspiring sia cadets all the best!! Giving up commercial aviation for awhile to focus on upgrading my ppl !!

Actually, that day unlucky day. Somebody reported him.
Those Airport staffs, cleaners, ICA and CISCO officers off duty also send off their friends/relatives right to the gate. How come they never get caught?

hey everyone, actually i was just wondering, just how seriously is it that SIA takes age into consideration? i know that the agreement with RSAF is that we singaporeans need to be at least 26, but from what i see and hear, it seems to be more on a case by case basis and the usual age at entry to OBS is 25+.
i went for my medical on 5th Aug (called CAMB 2 weeks later to confirm that i cleared it) and have been waiting ever since. my friend who's 26 this year got his call last week. i just turned 25 at the end of Aug, and some friends have been telling me that usually they take cadets in at age 25yrs and 3mths old.
now im just praying that age really is the only consideration left that's preventing me from starting. tried emailing HR but no reply (obviously). had a friend who cleared medical but got cut before even getting his OBS date. anyone with any opinions on this matter?

2nd Timer (First Interview)
Went for the first interview again yesterday. My last one was on 18th March.
My appointment was at 9.45am, however, I only got to be interviewed at about 12.05pm. There were many people waiting.
The interviewer did not ask me the usual question of Tell us about yourself, why you want to be pilot etc.
He went straight to the point and asked me about my work. What I have done (for aviation) since my last interview. Some geography and also the name of the new budget airline by SIA (Skoot).
I wasn't clear with the answers for some questions. I hope I do not get any email from them on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Usual Questions?
erm, which type of usual questions?
The first time I was there, they asked me about my self and why I want to be a pilot. Current affairs and geography.
The second I was there, they cut straight to the point. Geography, what I have done for the past 6 mths etc...
But I still didn't make it, hence, you should not place too much emphasis on my interview.
