Serbian military helicopter crashed on medical flight- 7 dead
Report is also here -> Izve?taji vojnih komisija o udesu helikoptera Mi-17 - Tango Six
but source is written on Serbian cyrilic...
My suggestion is that rollrollroll can translate to English some key points.
PS in mean time another more than similar (lucky) incident surfaced in 9A
on flight Zagreb - Tuzla - Zagreb, Dec 2014. In this case only one engine
destroyed by ice, but lot of similarity on surrounding "environment".

Sad to read the report. Unclear chain of command, minister of defense himself bypassing regular procedure by ordering the mission directly to Squadron commander (who was not on duty at all!), crew departs home base with weather below minimum(?), ATC tells the crew where to land, and then in the final moments, tells the pilot to hover over the runway - in IMC conditions.... what a mess...
rollroll can you help us out here?
- we still do not know, what was the equipment available on board, particularly if there was a coupled ILS approach possible and what is minimum speed required on autopilot engaged?
-is there actually a procedure available (as report implies between the lines), that allows authorisation of flight below weather minimums in special cases?
-where were ministers of defence and health at time of accident? Is it possible, that they wanted to make a show to journalists at Belgrade airport after landing? Could anything like that be the reason behind to divert the flight to Belgrade international? (I assume Batajnica military base also has an ILS approach available??)

the worst thing is that government has falsified report to cover their own a$$es and stated that pilots on duty were drunk (!!), for the PIC(who by all accounts didn't drink alcohol at all) the BAC level 0.063 after 3-4 hours of flight (urine level 0.131!!) which would mean he took off with higher than 0.15 BAC(?!), yupp that's Serbia for you...
so professional rotorheads, is it even possible to take off, fly at night at very bad weather, land to take the baby, take off again all that with such a high BAC flying an old Mi17?
here is the audio before the crash, judge by yourself if it's drunk voice or not
