Yea, like "volunteering" to do a workover to line up with a back to back in AD, then getting shipped off to Saudi anyways......thats their idea of volunteers. Have a funny feeling the mass exodus will continue

Do all these gulf operators require an ATP? I've been working in HEMS for the past seven years, advancing along into middle management (oh joy! ), and an ATP hasn't been required and is expensive. I'm north of 4,000 hours, currently managing an HEMS base and an EC135. Prior to that flew BK117, BO105...but still only have the comm'l ticket with instrument.
I'd like to get into an overseas gig, 6/6 or something like, because the wife has the kind of job she really doesn't want to leave, plus we'd like the money and for me to be at home for longer periods. I have a current passport and in any case I've promised to remain where I am for the rest of the year.
If you can give me a lead it will be appreciated. If it turns into a job it will cause a fifth of a good single-malt to be delivered to your house.
Can do? PM me, OK?

You can check that (for example, for Saudi Ar.) on their internet pages...
One question about Saudi Aramco, does somebody know, do they insist on FAA licence, what about JAR FCL?
If only FAA, why?

Mmmm ....
The Saudi Aviation Authorities .... are VERY closely aligned with the US FAA with regard rules and regulations AND many of the FOI's are seconded from (or Ex) the FAA.
If Saudi Aramco insist on FAA licences its because that is what makes life easier for them.

If I understand good, if you want to work&fly for S.Aramco, you have to have Saudian licence...and conversion is more easier (faster etc.) if you have FAA licence then JAR FCL ?

You need around 2000 hours, an IR and an ATP to join, plus a 139 type rating. Last I knew the salary was about 34K Dhs per month, 42 days leave per year, accommodation & car supplied, a roster to suit non-touring.

Hi Ricardo
You are better able to get the answers you require by asking direct. I am direct and you would be joining the best company in the Middle East if you were offered an appointment there. You have not been so far. I think that PACO knows us as well as anyone and understands that we are unique in that we prefer to put the wellbeing of our employees above all else. We are probably alone in our world in this. If you are fortunate enough to be allowed to work with Aerogulf you should consider yourself privileged indeed.
Ineluctable (always)
