If you can swim and use an inflatable lifevest, and even better - swim with the lifevest - then you'll be fine. Mind the water in the swimming pool might be a bit chilly, but at least you'll have a refreshing morning swim. Good luck!
I recently applied to AB, I have 3000hrs on Q400 and another 6000hrs on assorted large turbo-prop aircraft plus some jet time, got standard automated reply and since then nothing.
pipistrelle, I think they don't want people with your kind massive experience. They know full and well, that the T&C's they're offering is nothing to endure over a longer period of time. Hence, they know you'd be leaving at the first opportunity you'd get. Given your experience, that could happen just about any day now.....
They want people that they know they've got "by the b*lls", so to speak.
Commander-, or F/O-newbie, eager to build up a good deal of hours, before moving on to pastures green(-er).
May be some of you knows about AB cadet school? What is required, and so on. Because I have passed assesment tests at FTE Jerez, and now I'm searching how to get further, because education there is a bit expensive (95k eur) to pay for it, as I live in Latvia, I would like to work on AB, so now try'n to collect information about their cadet school. May be some of you was participated, or just know something about it.
It would be very kind if you reply, thanks in advance!
The profile of the hired people are mainly low experience pilots. They do not hire direct entry captain. They just want low profile pilot. They have the captains. They need the FOs.
I got an invite to Air Baltic today for sim session next week. I have 2600 hours, 2200 multi PIC, 600 King Air 200.
What I dont know is wether Im being invited for Q400 or A320 interview as I know they are upgrading fleet and according to PCC website only have 1 Q400.
Is anybody in the same boat as me and a bit unsure of what is going on. I have just been told to report for interview and sim session.
I am new to this forum and need some information concerning AB.
I have received an invitation for next week, applying for a DEC on the Dash, for the time I am rated on a Turboprop over 20t with total more than 5000 hours, 3000 PIC.
Anyone working for AB here?
Do they offer part time jobs?
Still problems with duty plans known as written here before?
Sorry for interrupting the pilots thread, but.. does anyone have any information concerning the hiring of CABIN CREW with base in Tallinn?? Any info highly appreciated!
I am attending the selection process next monday and they sent me an e-mail with all the information about the selection process within two days after I submitted my application form.
Has anyone been to Riga recently and tell us about his/her experiences there?
