Antonov announces new AN-12NG

Antonov has announced the launch of the AN-12NG , the NG is a remanufactured AN-12 especially designed for the West African market and will feature at turret mounted Nose Gun to deal with congestion at local airports (as pictured above).

Saw something very similar in the film: Sky Captain, and the world of tomorrow...
I hope Agelina Jolie is still the Captain!

If we buy it from Boeing, we'd probably go for the 4 fan varient to save a bit of cash, then spend 10 years, and squillions of pound updating it so it works!
