Alas! the total hours requirement has gone down

The crunch has taken the toll. For FOs, Emirates are now asking for just 2K multi crew, multi eng commercial jet hours with ICAO ATP. No more the TT 4k.

^^^ the minimums may have been reduced, but they still calling guys for assessment that have higher total time and jet time. They wanted me to have atleast 3000 in Jet and 4000 TT.

Anyway, I am attending the assessment next month in Miami. Anyone else have been invited to assessment? Any pointers will help.

So in response to my recent application I received this...

With respect to your application to join Emirates, we have now had the opportunity to thoroughly review your application.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to process your application any further and we are also unable to provide any further feedback with regard to why this decision was taken.

Although this may not be the reply you had hoped for, we wish you all the best in your future career and personal endeavours.

Yours sincerely,
Pilot Recruitment

Anyone else who got the same reply? Or knows what the reason could be?

I suspect VIE will not be satisfied with the answer regardless of how many opinions you may give as evidently he expects people to mind read his qualifications as opposed to posting them along with his query.
Perhaps that says more...

Morning everyone!

I got a quick question.

If one joins EK this summer on the 330, will he/she also still be trained onto the 340s? If yes, is there a certain period one has to be on the 330 before you get the 4-holer?

Thanks!

Got an email today about being placed on the shortlist interview pool. I know that this in no means guarantees I will be called for an interview, but does anyone know how short, or long this "short list" is? Thanks

Why do you post it in two different topics? Think we are smart enough to find it anyway.

Unless you are desperate.....

So, I spend thousands of $ getting my Private Pilots Licence, then many many more thousands of $$$$ getting my Commercial Licence.
6 Years later after suffering all sorts of unmentionable working conditions (Oh yes doctors do too, how selfish of me!) to achieve the required level of experience and more exams, again, I get my Airline Transport Pilot Licence. Then whilst working for a very meagre and humble income I get an interview with my final destination~ EMIRATES AIRLINES. Now after you have "been there and worn-out the T-shirt, now trying to sell it," you want to tell me that this has all been pointless!
I grew up in an era where an airline pilot was a respected and loved occupation, worthy of being fought for tooth and nail!
You are very obviously under some kind of disciplinary action for some or other negative conduct. Why don't you just resign and leave that horrible place then? Let the younger generation have their turn at having some good-work!
If they are as bad as you make them out to be, they would be going out of business!
Get real man! Let the positive and motivated individuals help keep the enterprise a great place it is! Move on for Pete's sake!
