Frozen ATPL and 20k euro, what next ?

Hi,
I just recently made frozen ATPL, total 300 hours, average score over 93%, but nobody seems to pay attention to that.
P2Fly is not the option, and i will not do it.
My savings, about 20k euro, I can spend to speed up my aviation career.
I am based in Europe, but can move to any other place with at deny time. Finally I want to become airline pilot, I am 33, so do not have time to fly as an instructor for next 5 years and try to get few hours there and there towing a banners and do a ferry flights.
Was trying to find TR + job offer for regional airliners such as ATR, but most offers looks like or is scam.
Any idea, what the next step should be ?
Cheers

Is this legit? I've got significantly more hours and ATPL, ME etc but haven't got in.
It's a hard slog and instructing or ga charter will get you somewhere. Clock up 3k hrs then you'll be right.

Isn't buying a TR some kind of P2F? It is in some way, like it or not.

Nobody is going to hire you with a TR only without hours on that type of aircraft. If you can find some kind of TR+contract on a Turboprop then go for it.

You also do not consider instructing because of your age, I understand you... but there are not much options left apart from this.

Try Flybe or your national companies if they are hiring low hours, Ryanair it's a good option if you are so lucky you get the call for the interview, but they have a discrimination for age (even some people denies that, prove is they prefer youngsters).

Network, search for positions online, maybe you can find something but it's very difficult with low hours.

Although it was (and still is!) a pretty stupid idea to get an ATPL, I was in the same position about 25 years ago. With 32 I got a job in a GA Company. And that is probably the best option. Afterwords I moved on to a Fokker 50 Job at a Regional before flying big jets (first A320 and after a year or so I moved on to flying 330s).

In your position, apply to FlyBe, Ryanair, EZY or whatever company that is looking for pilots. Next to this, get a job which is related to aviation (anything!), be open and start tu built up contacts. Contacts rule the aviation world. I know some companies which recruit low-our guys - but only to guys/gals who know the boss or a recruiter. Never say never to any job - a G/A or FI Job is better than no flying job.

LowPassGliderA330, thanks for an answer, I think slightly similar about ATPL now, in last 3 years I could achieve quite few things, however I wanted fly and I am going to. The only think is very low money in GA non flying jobs. In my case is much better to stay in my job and just rent an aircraft, i can east do 500 a year. Seems to be hard to move from GA to the airlines this days....

chytrycygan,

I started my training in 2009 and got my fATPL the following year (age28). I couldn't find anything at the first and second year 2010-2012 (well, one unsuccessful interview with cx). Money was starting to dry up fast and relative debts that I owed them still wasn't paid up, and no more money to renew my IR. 2013, I was planning to go to Botswana or namibia a place where i can find job fast as ppl say but unfortunately I lost my medical for 4 months in such a critical time!!! I was scratching my head now, why I couldn't get a job (flying job) while all my friends are getting jobs like a piece of cake.
2014, got married and the thought of being a pilot is fading away. Motivation and determination starting to breakup, dream job seems to be a dream! Then somehow I been watching motivation videos on youtube and it has fired me up. I thought really, really hard that I have to do something about it, something that could get me in first step of the ladder. I had some money saved but it can only be used on either IR renewal of FIC. (I going to give it another shot at it!) the latter seems more em,ployable to me because most instructors that I know of move on quickly and that leaves vacancies for us to take when compared to getting an airline job. So I did the FIC and knowing theres a possibility of no job at the end and if there is a job it will be paid . After completed the course and the HoT had to sign some paper work I was offered a job before even taking the test. So no pressure to find a job but a lot of pressure to perform on a test day. Hard work has paid off and now working as a FI (freelance), 2015. Paid is very and theres not enough work to go around but it puts me inside the loop. I feel my flying skills are improving, my teaching skill are widen, I feel proud when I sent my student to solo circuit (not his 1st!, still got 24 signoffs to go), and most importantly is getting paid to fly (probably not the best money but it feels good).
Next stop, saving up for IR!
I know its a long way off for what you want to know but I do recommend FIC is possible! Because, I shared the same dream as you. The same dream think big but start small, its the small steps that climb mountains.

As some here already said, do take any job in the industry and at the same time consider joining a gliding club where chances are you will meet people already flying for a living. Put gliding on your resume, demonstrate passion for aviation.

In the meantime keep knocking on doors, be that by sending a professional resume or going there in person.

Do not be a fool and knock off a five-year instructing job. That very job might be your ticket into the corporate world, a world many airline drivers would love to join but will never get the opportunity to as they do not know the right people.

I myself worked my way up from single engine piston and into the bizjet world. Took me six years.

Swore myself never to pay for a type, never did.

Can be done!
