Although it was (and still is!) a pretty stupid idea to get an ATPL, I was in the same position about 25 years ago. With 32 I got a job in a GA Company. And that is probably the best option. Afterwords I moved on to a Fokker 50 Job at a Regional before flying big jets (first A320 and after a year or so I moved on to flying 330s).
In your position, apply to FlyBe, Ryanair, EZY or whatever company that is looking for pilots. Next to this, get a job which is related to aviation (anything!), be open and start tu built up contacts. Contacts rule the aviation world. I know some companies which recruit low-our guys - but only to guys/gals who know the boss or a recruiter. Never say never to any job - a G/A or FI Job is better than no flying job.
