Take the ICAO English Test in the US?
Hey guys,
I have recently completed the FAA>JAA conversion process (except the ICAO English exam). Without this examination, I I will have the Level 4 written into the license - just by default. I can go back to Europe and take the test to get a higher grade, but while living in the US it would be a lot more convenient (and cheaper) to take this exam somewhere on this part of the world.
Anyone knows where I can take such test? Preferably NE US (NYC).
Thanks!

Hi ,
The EPL doesn't exist as far as the FAA is concerned because their prerequisite for issuing a license is ' be able to read , write and understand the english language ' . They just endorse your com or ATP with the words ' english proficient' to satisfy the ICAO rules .
The only people who MIGHT be able to provide an EPL in the US are the schools doing a joint EASA/FAA pilot training program .
rds
ps: there's one website claiming they can do it online for certain civil aviation authorities in Europe . ICAO Language Proficiency Test Online - by Aviation eLearning . I would confirm that with your country of issue's CAA though , before paying 150 Euros .
