European Training Record Requirement
By word of mouth, I heard that EASA requires commercial operators to show that they completed two training events in an aircraft in the preceding year. I work for a 135 operator, so that's not hard to do. My problem is that if what I heard is correct, it must be two training events in the same aircraft. That makes it awfully hard to have someone current and qualified in two different types to be legal to fly in Europe.
Is anyone familiar with this requirement? Any possibility you could direct me to the black and white, so I can quit wondering about rumors?

Hi klondike.
In EASA OPS operators you have to fly only ONE type of aircraft, you cannot fly simultaneusly 2 different Type. Normally an operator performs 2 checks (minimum) each year, 1 LPC (Licence Prof. Check) and 1 OPC (Operator Prof. Chech) in the SIM session (every 6 months). I don't know the carrier you're in contact but in EASA they request a recent activity in the type (LPC or OPC normally it's the same profile of check).
