Salaries?
Working as a ramp agent at a large FBO chain. Getting paid equivalent to 280GBP/month doing after hours work and weekend shifts. How's that for shooting the hostage in the foot. And all that for a few aviation contacts..... :confused: Is it really worth it?

The Flt Ops Director 15th September 2007 12:58

Citation 560 Line Training Captain. Net is just over £4000/month. 6 on 3 off. No pension, Loss of Licence, or any other perks!!! About 500 hours a year.
Easy life, one or two sector days, rarely get close to 55 in 7, and huge variety in flying.
If there is ANY romance left in commercial aviation, Corporate aviation is where it's at!!
Happy as can be!!! :}

King Pokey 18th September 2007 20:00

UK ATC at the third busiest London airport. Been in 9 years, work about 180 days a year, 6 on 4 off. Get to sleep in my own bed almost every night and have an office with a view! Final salary pension scheme, individual BUPA cover from January. Not a cat in hells chance of overtime.
Take home about £3300 pm

Cityliner 19th September 2007 09:27

So I guess we F/Os should get some extra pay for flying with the management Guys. Those who just fly around 5 to 7 days/month coming near FRA/LHR on a CAT3 Firday morning with less than 15min extra, because fuel is so expensive and we have to save money.
Diversions are so much cheaper!!!
