nice said alpine flyer;) i also hope they learnt something
as i said i think tyrolean is a really good company, and there are always people complaining about some sh.... just the management have to change their point of view, that money saving is not the only most important things
and if somebody says, that vo is not paying enough, well i think they do compared to other regional carrier, vo pays really good.:)
and to you papazulu:
it was no agressive tone:= just my point of view of what you wrote - if you feel personally attacked i do not care i also give a f:mad:
the t&c have improved - i have a future hopefully, as i just heard, what is going on in os now.
and if you say, that cathay, virgin, lh do not have better t&c than you have to read their contract before telling such bu..sh...
furthermore it always depends on you, what you are making out of it.

Nice looping dude!!! Low altitude recovery, though...:E

Opsss...LOST PROCEDURE now!

I DID NOT name even 1 of these! I asked how YOU can be sure that they ALL are heaven if compared with TYR's T&Cs. Wanna better explanation? Surf this site using EK as search tools and find out if everyone is soooo delighted by their contracts. I was telling you about INSIDERS (pilots working for at least one of them, to help you to understand....) giving me their balanced view of pro's & con's. I surely can read and understand their contracts provided they are written in English...:E

Furthermore: is it smart to compare a REGIONAL with 3 of the most succesfull LEGACY carriers of the world? How many low-timer can aspire to a RHS with 250TT in ONE of those you named, in order to enjoy THOSE wonderful terms that YOU ARE SURE they offer? Even my grandmother could tell you how many privileges LH has to offer!

Who is telling bull!!!! to who? I think you better circle a bit and make your position fix mate...

PEACE BROTHERS....

Humans will always complain ,most likely comparing things they have with things they want ......without seeing its basically the same.

So ..relax ..go out have a beer and think it over ..soon or later it WILL be over !!!

YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT! Actually you just said it for the third time...! Shame it was again another different version...:E. This looping is getting lower and lower...I better go for shelter, maybe in a pub. Beer is freaking good where I am right now...:E. Wanna join me for a pint? On my bill, of course. But you do not forget to stop at the bookshop first, ok?

Aufidersen...damn! My German sucks...!

Captains NET Salary?

Hi guys. Nice to read this thread as I have been looking for a job in AUS for quite a while but only want to take a jet command. Can someone please give me an approximate idea of the TAKE HOME pay including all allowances/flight pay etc etc etc.

SF

Alpine Flyer 24th May 2007 22:21

AUS = Australia
AUT = Austria
(at least according to wikipedia)

Neither Tyrolean nor Austrian offer direct entry jet commands. Expect at least 5-6 years for any command at Tyrolean, depending on attrition. Jets may take even longer.

Take-home pay for a 1st year captain is about 50.000€ (no per diems included), senior about 65.000€.

Second year copilot about 26.000€ (more if experienced). First year copilot pay depends very much on rate of hiring and actual flying due to mandatory part-time, overtime payments, etc. 42.000€ for very senior copilots. After 5 years it's about 32.000€

Thanks AF. Good reply. Better rates than I had heard. Still I might have to wait a long time for the DE command, probably never.
