If you join BACF, what chance do you have to join mainline?

There is supposedly a “Career Pathway” in to mainline, but it’s not used or realistically available. The only advantage is we go straight through to Day 1 of the interview process. |

Jumbo2, Possibly not bad for a true regional airline. However please bear in mind that your work week will be more alighted with BA mainline ex LHR. 3-6 day tours are the norm with a duty pay of about £2/hr. You will probably spend most of that £2 eating down route. As a so called regional airline we fly to the Greek Islands daily during the summer months and Keflavik during the winter months. The number of night stops is similar with both EDI & LCY bases. With an EDI base there is no such thing as a 2 sector day!! |
Thanks fair enough, didn't realise they went as far as Greece. Was meanly basing my opinion about the work on the ex-CityFlyer pilots who are shocked now working for Mainline about how hard they have to work compared to what they refer to as their cosy life in CityFlyer. I even heard one or two are considering going back to Cityflyer having only started in mainline last year.
