Five trips isn't usual although there are a few lines like that. Keep in mind that with a 750 hour contract that work rate can't be sustained long-term.

The workload at the Manchester base looks to be lighter than in London.

With a 750 hour contract you are going to be flying quite a few transatlantic trips monthly in this airplane:

OT:

@Iver

Let's wait till it really flies. The Concorde was a pure prestige project and never made money. The reason why only 2 state supported carriers(at that time) had this aircraft and nobody else.

And as long as the "boom" issue ;-) is not solved it will just cross the atlantic and nothing else. Exciting.

If it once flies an interesting little toy. And if the Supersonic sound issue is solved maybe an option for some Global Express/Dassault/Gulfstream customers.

So any A330 example rosters guys and girls? :)

giggitygiggity 1st Apr 2016 02:07

Reportedly quite a few reported sick due fatigue.
Isn't it acceptable to report fatigued when fatigued at VS?

It is, I think that is just a turn of phrase being used.

PFO from VS. 800 hours B777. 5500 hours total time (most of it B737).

Marvo 11th Apr 2016 21:17

Prisoner - was this recently? I've not heard anything for a while!

prisoner24601 12th Apr 2016 16:19

8th March PFO. I applied just after Christmas 2015 (around 27th Dec I think)

A320baby 16th Apr 2016 11:29

Has anyone been through the process recently?

Pm's are very welcome

What are the future prospects for external Airbus bods at the moment, guys and girls?

Thad Jarvis 8th May 2016 18:49

There was a hold pool for Airbus for the past 2 years or so. Some of those guys have been offered a short notice 330 course starting at the beginning of July. No idea if that's the pool cleared out or not. I know a few were offered BA and went there instead. id guess at the pool being empty now but it's just a guess. Perhaps they'll hire into that pool again.

one day soon 11th May 2016 20:53

It'll be news to a few of us if the pool is now empty.
Although to be fair it's news also that there's finally been some movement

FlyANA 16th May 2016 09:38

Just to second the other comment, anyone got any A330 roster examples?

Eau de Boeing 16th May 2016 10:59

They asked for short notice availability for bus drivers, e-mail returned and nothing heard again.

So would be surprised if the pool was now empty.....

airhog777 19th May 2016 14:08

How long have people been swimming for?

Applied last winter and got the 'we want 787 people, but will keep you on file.

Not heard anything since.

Did they take many short notice airbus drivers?

Captain Spam Can 13th Jul 2016 17:54

Hi guys/girls just a few questions on the company I know they are not currently recruiting however...

1. They implied they might need Airbus drivers in the coming future any more word on the street?

2. The pay on prune seems very high for a basic....does it include sector pay and is there an incremental pay scale? Trying to work out a take home PP1.

3. I was always told to 'stay away' by people who were made redundant, but this was a long time ago...when we're the last guys made redundant and does it feel like a stable airline?

Many thanks

sangiovese. 14th Jul 2016 13:09

Yes, hold pool is more or less empty so I believe

Circa £3900 ish take home inc sector pay 750hrs per yr (iirc been a few years now). Good pension after 6 months and benefits, no pay to fly, just a 3 yr bond

Very different management, part of delta really, feels like a proper carrier with a a plan verses what happened to us in the noughties.

No major complaints, usual grumbles but hey nowhere is perfect. Would I join now knowing what I know, absolutely!

Cliff Secord 14th Jul 2016 14:39

Does the circa 3900 include all allowances? Also how much a year does the pay go up by on the scales?

Just interested. Thanks.

Captain Spam Can 14th Jul 2016 17:50

Sangiovese thanks for the info just what I was looking for.

airhog777 14th Jul 2016 18:10

Yes thanks..... All we need now is some recruitment!
