Engineer pay

Has anyone seen American Airlines agreeing a deal to push B1 engineers through the 100k barrier. I can't post links but just search unite, American Airlines, 100K. Does this show a major lack of engineers in the system? Will other airlines have to follow suit? What will that mean for pilot pay?

Not a lot unless there’s a sudden rush of pilots handing in their licenses to become engineers.
