Don’t worry about your flying skills, they will come with time!

I would only leave your current job for lifestyle reasons. If you think short haul will suit your lifestyle better then by all means go for it. I left long haul and currently do mostly two sector days short haul; I love it and the time off I get at home.

I don’t know where you are located/based but if you feel the Middle East is a good move for you then that would certainly satisfy your craving for more sectors. You could stay on a wide body and fly as many sectors as you want! The trade off would be lifestyle though and when the novelty wears off you will realise how fatiguing it is.

I think you’re v lucky. Few companies take Cessna instructors directly onto a wide body as the training risk is high. It’s more logical for them to take SH pilots.
it would seem they really wanted you so presumably your future should rosy.
