Getjet Airlines

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone here is flying (or has flown) for GetJet Airlines. I haven't found much info there. I am in contact with them, new T&Cs in place as of March, they don't look so bad. New roster pattern as well (23 days included positioning in the base of operations, 8 days OFF home, etc, they pay the positioning each time to/from your home to/from base of operation).

I would appreciate to get any kind of information, I just received some figures but nothing very concrete, I understood that a position there can be very flexible and different from month to month.

Feel free to share any feedbacks, or to contact me in PM. I'd be happy to share information I got from them as well (T&C and expected roster patterns).

Thanks!
Max

Hi Max

I’m currently in the process of getting an A320 Type Rating. I would like to know a little bit more about GetJet, as I couldn’t find much information. Could you help and share your knowledge and/or T&C?

Thanks a lot
Gustav

Hi Gustav,

I have old figures they sent me months ago on the 737. Provide me with an email address in PM and I can send you the pdf if you're interested

Contract was via a staffhub aero, positioning paid by the airline, 20/10 roster, nearest international airport so home base, salary different in high and low season. Open-ended contract. I have a few more info on this PDF but best thing is to ask them directly.

I had a chat with a guy who flew there, he had a good time, nice colleagues and atmosphere. Pros is the NIA contract so you can be home, cons are the classic ones that come along with such ACMI operations. I can't give my opinion as I didn't join but did have the interview with them and they were very nice

Cheers
Max

Latest I heard is 10000€ summer, 5500€ winter, 25€ block hour summer and winter. All gross figures. Nothing else.
Stand to be corrected, of course, as it is third hand information.

Getjet conditions

Here some information,

after passing several month there,
it’s not good at all,
they choose when you can go on holiday
they choose to put you unpaid leave when necessary
they give you only 6 days off with the shifts of the roster,
they never accommodate you if you have personal appointments in your country,
as a pilot you are driven by kiddo from crew control, you talk bad to them then they report you to the chief pilot,
the chief pilot will always against you without any support,
they often change your contract for lower conditions…

they called you anytime, if you don’t answer quick you will get skipped duty, and they put yourself on the rank list to be fired when they want to terminate the contract.

you are not flying more than 400hr per year,
they usually try to make you available 24hr just ti do last minute flights, this their business models,
you stay stuck in hotels 22 days,
you have to pay for your lunch and breakfast,

Globally They are very difficult…

Then it went really south there 🤮.

In my time there we had a nice and supportive Chief Pilot. I know that it changed after I left for an seemingly not so nice guy.

When I was there, we had at least our breakfast being paid for.

But yes, you dont fly to many hrs. My first summer season I flew only 190 hrs. My second summer season 270ish. And all that while being on base like 1 month and maybe 7 days off and back on base for like almost a month.
Not sustainable when you have a family.

It is not the club you make a lot of hrs in.

Right now there are way better options on the market. GetJet should be one of the last options.

Hi,
Is this for A320 or 737 fleet? Captain or FO?

Is it written in the contract how many unpaid leaves can they assign you or is it unlimited? Also, it says in the PDF they send with the T&C that breakfast is paid along with accommodation, can you please confirm?

I'll go soon to their final sim assessment in VNO (737). Any recommendations?

Thank you!

You will be disappointed

Look, it’s just recommendations:

you will be treated very badly,
unpaid leave it’s when ever they want
holiday the same, ( if they give you any)

if you have any personal appointments, you will have to cancel it ,
you can’t plan anything,
all your days off shifting,

during adhoc contract you can’t clean your own close, you sleep in different places every night without knowing, what is the next move,

all the fleet between 737 and 320 are with high speed tape, aircraft maintenance conditions has 10 pages to read before briefing,

they are no recommendations for passing the sim,
they will hire you since they are desperately looking for pilots,

if you are looking for miserable life, just go…

better you go to Heston or Avion express…
