From SFI back to Flying

Gents,

I took a little break from flying and currently working as SFI.
Any of you guys have experience if it is difficult getting hired by an Airline again after only teaching on a sim for a couple of years?

45 old, various aeronautical experience, break in 10 years flying commercial, still fying but not aircraft, 320 rated no hours. Struggling to find something, it is possible but very hard.
