Evolution Ideas ?
Hello Everyone !
I'd be interested to hear suggestions or past experience stories from the combined wisdom of my colleagues around the world. I've reached a bit of a static point on light twin-turboprop, having done pretty much everything from Instruction to bush flying, regional airlines to middle management ...etc...
Despite having hours (>10,300) , six different ATP's + extra courses, I can't seem to find a way to get onto the next 'thing' (a heavier TP such as the ATR/D8 or similar). Obviously I face nationality restrictions being European, but also a lot of ' minimum weight' hurdles which seem to be more and more common these days. I've obviously looked into getting a type rating but ... will it really improve my chances with no hours on type ?
On top of it all, there's extra limitations such as having a family and mortgage which prevent me from looking at 'just anything' (Bills have to be paid..etc..). We are, however, very flexible geographically

Have a look at air Macau. Hiring a lot of tp experienced guys this year, all a320 fleet, No tr required, but quite a big bond (nothing up front, just expensive to get out if you leave early)
Money good, but long training period (6-9 months) with training salary.

Thank you both for your time. I already attended and passed all Flybe's selections last year but there's an issue with their Part A requiring a number of hours on TP>10t for DEC, while my aircraft is only 6,6T 
. It was quite disappointing at the time actually , especially after going through the whole process successfully. Air Macau, on the other hand, has never acknowledged my various applications over the years.

As I understand (could be wrong...) But air Macau in previous years (Pre 2016) has only hired type rated pilots. This year and last year, the focus is on non typed people.
It might be worth throwing another cv their way, as you may not have met the requirements in the past, but now you do.
