We all know there are ways in macdo if you have the money or access to it. Does not make it right though. The point is is well made by Enzo that airlines will jump at the opportunity to take the money if they can get away with it, deliver 500 hours and replace with another cash rich wannabe. This circumvents any real form of suitability selection and plonks plonkers in the RHS.

Totally agree with Enzo and the sentiments - but sadly having tried the hard route - all that failing and watching those that have paid get jobs whilst you wait.....

People end up doing this ......

Sad reality - this is to remain and stay

Having just read the latest T&C's 2016 thread, I reckon the best advice we could give the OP is go and get a proper job which won't shorten your life for a c@@p salary. Putting the morals of PTF aside for a moment, these young guys must be crazy investing 12k to get a job which will barely pay the interest on their loans. How on earth did our generation of pilots allow it to get so bad?

I think this thread should have been banned by moderator or - at best - moved to the wannabees forum.

Come on guys.

That's ez, they joined/got in bed with FTOs. Leech management pilots are mostly responsible for this mess. And to think many an airline has such pilot recruits go through psychometric tests to understand if they are ill-in-the-head??? The irony of it all.

Great to see everybody helping him and rewarding stupidity!

Let's summarize;

1) he started a pilot training during a financial crisis at a mediocre flying school that does not have any connections to or job placement schemes with airlines
2) or he failed all selections for those job placement programs (probably for good reasons, duh!)
3) then he throws caution to the wind and gets a type rating without a job

And you idiots are helping out this arrogant clown?!

Think about it, maybe he'll be sitting next to you one day, and perhaps he will start arguing with you about decade old common sense SOP's and good airmanship, claiming that he knows better than everybody else.

And maybe he'll do something stupid again when you're visiting the toilet because despite what thousands of people told him and what despite what every manual says, he might think it's a good idea to ask for a short cut straight through the red section of a TS, after you specifically told him NOT to do that...
