I believe that the EZY contract for experienced non type rated pilots is for the first year a zero hour contract with no guarantee of anything unless this has changed, so leaving a full time salary position at flybe in short term then.

The easy contracts were permanent new entrant contracts, not flex. The type rating was 20k, and as for who benefits, Easyjet for cheap experienced crew, the pilots who will earn double what they would at Flybe and the guy who gets his first flying job at Flybe.
