I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Matey publicly.
I have been actively reading PPRUNE for a few years to try to get valuable information, more over facts, to help me find employment especially after the demise of both XL Airways and Viking Airlines. However, you have to sift through an awful lot of opinion on these forums before you find the gold dust that is the facts that can help you understand what and why an employer is doing what it is doing. That is probably why this is my first ever post as I have no real fact to contribute to help fellow pilots and thus far have kept my opinions to myself. However, Matey has posted several times on this forum and on the Thomson Recruiting forum and each time based on fact, which those of us going through the recruitment process have found valuable. So regardless whether it is what we want to hear or not, thanks matey!
