ANYWAY...... I have A320 interview for HKA and I got just a basic sim profile. If someone had this interview and could share with me some tips, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

HKA A320
Hi All,
I just went through the process and thought took a while to finally get to the actual interview it was a good experience in the end. I found that some of my research ended up being inaccurate. I spoke with friends that are there and they have recently had some management changes and the processes are not what I was told. I was told that the process was very easy and anyone can get through - NOT the case. Here are some pointers and some notes from my experience.
Hong Kong Airlines is growing and working at creating a strong image and the interview process shows it. The whole atmosphere is relatively relaxed but don't bother showing up unless you are dressed for the interview. It is not a Levi's affair! I heard one pilot was discounted because of a less than sterling appearance. Want the job? - sell yourself.
The interview itself was open and friendly, but professional. They discussed my background and experience (as it is ) and a couple of 'technical' questions. Beyond that it was typical interview scenarios - "why should we hire you?"
Was sent for a medical exam - typical Class I type, an English language 'test', a written technical test and the simulator ride. The sim ride was straightforward and close to what they sent me for a sequence. I was told that they are not looking for perfection but a high level of airmanship and handling especially if not 320 rated. I just got my A320 recently so it was not a new experience. I was in the seat for maybe 30 minutes or so.
For those that like to crunch percentages - On the day I interviewed there were 10 of us and 6 were allowed to go beyond the interview and to the simulator etc. - the others were sent home. I don't know what the results ended up being for the 6 of us that finished the entire process.
Good luck!!

Mine was 4 - 5 months, but some others were shorter it seemed. I don't know about the 330, though they indicated they were recruiting for 330 positions. I interviewed for the 320 FO.

Do you guys know if that (4-5 months) is standard waiting time for them to get back? I'm 320 rated and current TRI.
I sent cv/cover letter to their recruitment email address, should I try to follow up with phone call or just wait and see? I did not get any reply back from them on my cv.

Hong Kong Airlines/Express Hiring!
HKA and HKE advertised that they are hiring Capts and FO's into all fleets!
I applied and was sent an application to complete which I already sent it back. They told me to contact them after 21 days if I didn't hear anything. Is this normal and should I follow up with a phone call or simply an email?
Does anyone have more info on the recruitment, selection process and how many pilots they plan on hiring?

Those of you that have been contacted by HKA, how long did you wait from initial application? Could you give us some idea of your experience level? CPT or FO? Hrs?
Any info would be appreciated!

I ve also sent back the application form and told to call them if no response within 21 days ,,
I sent them 2 emails to check my application status but no response received.
I also tried the Tel no. in their web site,, no one picks up the call.

That's the one I used and it did not bounce.... To me that sounds like no one is checking that email account anymore, or at least not at the moment. Perhaps they have enough candidates at the moment?

I'm not surprised you have been unsuccessful in submitting an application, take a look at the email address you have written and compare it carefully to the one on their website.
