Desperate boom?

Pilots needed as Gulf aviation boom continues - Transport - ArabianBusiness.com

Seems to me that they need alot of pilots- will they ever recruit roockies straight out of flight school? Will t and c improve due to "shortage"? In my opinion its all bull**** and there never will be a shortage- its just a race to the bottom but the race in the gulf is hotting up(excuse the pun)

Regards.

He answered one of your questions.

Qatar have taken people straight out of flight school from FTE, Oxford and PTC.

Not desperate yet, EK passing 20-30% if those interviewed , all having loads of experience. There is always some airline shutting down or cutting back

thankyou fatbus for your input- if they need so many pilots with experience, surely they should decrease the standards/threshold?

QR

cptdivz the article you linked to mentions QR.
Irish pilot merely stated the facts about QR.
If you knew about Qatar then you should have stated so, or you could have just thanked him/her anyway.
