Help: Couple of BA Questions

I have a quick question and perhaps and obvious answer is needed.

When BA refers to mixed fleet. What exactly do they mean? Is it Pilots and Cabin Crew rated and operating on both Boeing and Airbus?

Also, what is main profit loss issues for BA??

Need an answer soon for interview.

its for cabin crew. Both short and longhaul flying out of Heathrow.
(Gatwick has done that for a quite a while now)
