Well according to the email, it appears they won't be contacting the unsuccessful people....

I have to admit I missed that in the original email.

Bit surprising really and would be the first time I've not heard one way or the other from an application. It's not really any work to send a generic PFO email

We really are worrying about all the wrong things here. Yes the original email said one thing, then another email something else. After completing the online assessment a message presented saying we would be contacted in the near future with our results. Should we believe that one instead? Who knows.

I'm gonna sit tight for as long as it takes. As mentioned before, they have been known to take several months to call people forward. It's only a small team, and in 2010 had close on 4,000 applications. A safe assumption a similar number again I would think. And for what, 20 positions?

They also have an unfortunate taste for rated peeps. They have to be sifted out of the pile, and probably assessed first. Last time round, the non rated only got a look in much later on.

I know what they say about assumptions, but now, after almost one month from the closure of the application window, can we assume that those without any feedback from Aer Lingus are out of the game?

I'd have to agree with you dirk I'm afraid. Surely a generic PFO wouldn't have cost them too much!

Smile Recruitment

Guys,

Things are v.v. busy at EI at the moment. There is a lot going on, starting up the Virgin operation, the imminent 757 operation, the Caribbean 330 operation as well as crewing the ROI operation.

I would suggest, and I speak from experience, you let the prescribed time pass, plus a bit, then call HR to ask the situation with your application.

I'm sure they will be very helpful. Good luck to all that applied, it's worth all the pain!

So let me get it straight, nobody has heard either way with respect to a positive or negative (or if they have they aren't telling)

So everything written since the online tests finished is conjecture and second guessing ....

That's cleared things up. All the panty wetters, calm down.

Still keeping fingers crossed here.

Is there any word on likely start dates? Are we talking immediate / for summer season / hold pool?

Shamrock hiring

Shamrock interviews started last week with sim assessments the day after interview.they are interviewing those with hours and a sizeable batch with zero/low jet hours.start dates are soon.A course is currently running for existing crew moving to A330 thus creating more gaps on shorthaul fleets. There is no generic PFO as yet as the application process is still ongoing

It has gotten very quite here, despite Aer Lingus interviewing now. Has no one here been invited?

I'm aware that EI pilots have not received their annual pay increment for the last 3 years, however I think this has been resolved or is being resolved. My question, does anyone know what the increment was/is?

Are we assuming now that if we have not been contacted for interview, we are out of the running?

Wheelbarrow....last time I looked the pay scales on ppjn were pretty accurate. Take one years salary from he next and there is your increment.
