I hope that's the case - maybe we are all just as useless as each other.

That sound is the laughter coming from the HR department of Aer Lingus as they work out that I have no spatial awareness at all.

This is for any of you guys feeling bad about your performance during the test:

I got the apple "spinning circle of death" during the mathematical section which instantly wiped out precious seconds & I managed to inadvertently get my screensaver activated during the tunnel flying

Good luck to all you gals & guys out there

Is the numerical reasoning the same as the verbal reasoning with tabs and look at a whole bunch of data and look for the right data?
Or is it similar to easyjet?

thanks guys

Not sure how the tests went for me really... Didnt complete all the verbal reasoning ones, would be surprised if many people did.

Maths, memory and reaction went good for me I think, especially maths.

Spatial one was awful. I am always bad at these despite having what I would consider to be good spatial awareness in practical terms.

Is there any chance to fly the 330 as well after some time?
Or what's the deal about that?

Taken from the the job offer:

"Initially you will be operating A320/321 aircraft on our short-haul network. Over time you may have the opportunity to move onto our A330 long-haul fleet, and ultimately command."

Well that's it....finished.

Generally went ok but like many others, Spatial Reasoning just isn't my thing and being a fairly average bloke I find these sort of tests quite tricky.

I passed the EJ online assessment so maybe there's hope but I'm not holding my breath.

Time will tell. Best of luck all.

Done....... Through the tears from my rejection email from Easyjet today! Thought it was easier than the Easyjet tests and thought I did well so I'm expecting a "don't darken our doors again you idiot" email in the next 24 hours!

Enjoy.

Just finished the tests...will be walking into revolving doors for the rest of the day!! Glad they're done...results within 4 weeks of closing date for applications which is 11th july I think.
the comments on here have made me chuckle and if I am lumped into the "nice but dim" category, I'll be in very good company.good luck to all.

Just completed the test, cannot believe I have spent the last 10 years flying passenger planes and been allowed to continue based on what they want you to complete. everything fine except the Maths. Not expecting any response from them.

What happened to the days when experience counted for things, not how you complete a sodding test!

Bloody HR departments.

Did anyone got a confirmation email saying they received your results?

Like so many, I'm feeling completely inadequate for the job after these tests.

I'm amazed my current boss even allows me to fly his planes

Just done the tests. I'd say it was slightly easier than easyJet but I'm still amazed at the apparent lack of relevance of some of the questions. Conversion of obscure units of measurement, area and volume is not something I regularly use I work.

There was also an appalling and confusing misuse of commas and fullstops in numbers, i.e., '1.000 litres' instead of '1,000' and '1,5 kgs' instead of '1.5 kg'. At least I think it was wrong - I hardly know which way is up after the last 90 minutes! Can't wait to fly an airliner this afternoon - its going to seem a breeze now!

just finished aswell...

Not expecting anything. I found the spacial orientation quite difficult as the math and verbar reasoning (eventhough I did it in my native language). I finished half of it
