How are they screening pilots already?Do they have a pool of pilots they're picking from, or can you apply through a website?
Thanks

zondaracer:

It is 35 airplanes they want to transfer.

They say that no classic IB workers will be affected.

You can choose to believe them, if you will...

No screening so far. For the time being everything is silent and "transparent" to the public. No assessment, no sim checks... You are a "good fella" or you are not, that's all.

Iberia pilots to taxi at 5 knots

Thanks Sudden wind, a good one too, not everyone gets it, cheers

Iberia Express has not started their selection process which is odd.
Vueling has opened an application portal apparently.
Iberia Express has been a negotiating ploy to get a deal with Iberia pilots.

Yes microburst minimum services will be applied but look at Iberia´s punctuality. There are many crews and will be many that taxi at 5 knots no more. They can really cause delays in Barajas and will do so. If a pilot has a deferred item he does not have to accept it. They will perform the strictest compliance of the operations manual.

Iberia and IAG management needs to find a better solution as it will cost their shareholders, they shall see at Christmas time.

The Iberia pilots are very pissed off and consider anyone who goes to Iberia Express ( if it starts and there is no agreement ) to be scab labour.

If they offer poor conditions and you go there you are contributing to poorer conditions for everybody. Yeah a job is a job but where it will end pilots paying for their type rating and accepting poor pay helps the devalue the profession.

I heard a rumour from a source close that the SEPLA Vueling and Iberia pilots are going to be meeting.

What some people do not understand is why not use Vueling and or Vueling pilots to run Iberia express ? According to the Iberia annex Vueling cannot operate Iberia express,

A option The Iberia and Vueling pilot SEPLA representatives could sit down and strike a deal, whereby the Sepla Iberia pilots negotiate a deal with Iberia management whereby Vueling ( future Iberia ) pilots could enter in Iberia Express and Iberia seniority list. The Sepla Iberia pilots could use the Vueling collective agreement as a base to improve on. A number of Iberia FO´s could come to Iberia Express as direct entry on a decent pay scale.
