Airborne Personnel

Just got an email from these guys, does anyone know who they are? I didn't even remember I applied for them!! But this is because I sended soooo many applications...

"
Dear Candidate,

In response to your recent application, we are pleased to advise that you meet the requirements of the B747-400 type rating programme so far. However, the first step in this process is that you will be required to complete an evaluation to be eligible to enter the programme. The cost of the evaluation will be US$300 and must be paid in full before the evaluation dates can be confirmed to you.

The evaluation will be in two parts and will consist of:
  • 20 minutes interview and checking of licenses and logbooks.
  • 20 minutes simulator evaluation flight on a B737 Classic (subject to change), where basic flying skills will be assessed.
The dates of the evaluations are listed below:
  • 7th September 2010
  • 8th September 2010
  • 9th September 2010
The interviews will be schedule on the above mentioned date between 10:00 and 13:00 and the simulator evaluation between 15:00 and 19:00, at Oxford Aviation Academy, located across the road from the Premier Inn. Therefore, we suggest once you have received confirmation of your evaluation date you make your travel arrangements accordingly.

As mentioned above, interviews will be conducted at the Premier Inn, Fleming Way, Business Quarter, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9DF. You can book, if you wish, a room at the hotel for GBP £47.00 including breakfast. Please contact the hotel directly by e-mailing
[email protected] and quote AIRBORNE PERSONNEL in order to obtain the corporate rate we have negotiated. Link to the website is shown below but please note that you will not receive the specially negotiated corporate rate unless you make the booking direct, as I have mentioned above. Please find attached brochure with hotel details

Successful candidates who purchase the training package must pay the US$25,000 in full, in accordance with the terms of the training agreement and will receive two agreements prior to starting the training.
  • Training Agreement with details of the terms and conditions during ground and simulator training.
  • Line training contract which details the conditions during the line training

Copies of the documents in question will be available to the candidates at the evaluation together with a copy of the 12 month contract that will be offered upon successful completion of the type rating course. A course is planned for 11th October with further courses planned in November and December.

Due to the high volume of applicants we would ask that you reserve your questions for the interview/evaluation especially those of an operational nature.

If this programme is of interest to you please advise by return to
[email protected] your preferred evaluation date. The details of how to pay for the evaluation fee will be forwarded to you. Please note that we cannot confirm your preferred evaluation date until we have confirmation that US$300 evaluation fee has been deposited into Airborne Personnel’s account"

It´s Air Atlanta Icelandic - just wearing another hat in order for their exploitation of you to succeed. They need cruise pilots. It is a very expencive PTF scheeme.

Stay far, far, far, far away - they´ll eat your licence for breakfast and make sure your house is for sale and bake up your family within app. 10-12 month.

PM me if you have any questions

It is Air Atlanta ........Do not.....DO NOT touch them with the longest bargepole you can find......you would be better off donating the $25000 to "Help for Heros" instead of lining FAT ALEX'S pockets.

Why pay?

Icelandic Labor Law , Act on temporary work agencies n°139/2005

Section III

article 5 General provisions

Prohibition on charging fees

A temporary-work agency (Airborne?) may not demand payments, make agreements involving payments or accept payments from their employees( that may be the weak point) in return for offering them or providing them with employment, either at the beginning of their contractual relation or later.

If you paid money you should be able to claim it back...if you dare.
