By the way, regarding the DLR test, could you confirm me how are the various tests presented in terms of "Level" ? (pace equivalent to level 1 first, then increased difficulty ?)
Do we have several attempts for each test ? (the best score being retained or the average one ?)

Most of the tests are at an equivalent of the level 3, some even more difficult.
RMS: same as level 3
KRN: more difficult
OWT: same as level 3, but I found it more difficult for the shape of the clocks and the way the numbers are presented
ROT: start very slow, like level 1, gradual increase of the speed until level 3, maybe even faster
SKT: level 3
VLR: level 3, very small box
VMC: like level 3, but the shapes are more difficult to remember
You have only one attempt, but in some you have a few shots for preparation.

It is clear now ! Seems very difficult, it is the reason why I keep training every single day. My results are good to excellent depending on the test, but I expect them to fall a bit at the real exam.

In Hamburg they will make several examples to make clear how they present the oral math questions. Don't be worried, the only problem will be the math itself, not the way they communicate.
One example: "six to the power of two".
And yes, use just your common sense for CRM, no need to read any book.

@costas1979 it's says on your DLR CBT documentation, read in the document called basic knowledge it's says the following:
Tests for Aeronautical Knowledge during the DLR assessment
Your proficiency will be checked during computer assisted testing with a multiple choice test aiming at systems, meteorology, air law, navigation, instruments and human performance limitations. We do not provide a specific Aeronautical Knowledge CBT programme for you to train with. If you feel you have to brush up in aeronautics you need to do this with your own material. Additionally, expect aeronautical problems also to be discussed during your interview.
Hope this clarifies your doubts.

The Dlr Destroyed My Life
Hi all ,
i would like to add my experience with DLR assessment
I did applied for our national airlines, and i did jet a respond for Ab-initio program, i started my screening by doing
1- TOEIC test and i pass with level 6
2- TOEFL test and i pass with more than 500 score
3- CPL+IR written test and i pass with more than 80%
4- Simulator check ride + oral test and i pass
5- The DLR witch i did not get any official result, just sorry your name is not in the list ( this is not fair ) besides it was only one chance with our national airlines and the only choice in my country, but because of the DLR witch DESTROYED my life with no reason i have no chance of becoming a pilot and get my dream job, now i am just setting here trying to find a way out to make that dream come true, again the DLR is NOT fair, your career is in the hand of 2 persons they judge you and say if you fit to be a pilot or not, from my point of view again the DLR is NOT fair.
I hold CPL+IR ME/SE, TT 278 hrs and more than 7 years in aviation.

I do share your disappointment. These tests are highly demanding and the bottom line of these kinds of selection processes are unfortunately often partly subjective.
We all are more or less suffering from the sharpness of aviation, from the effects of succeeding crisis and so on ... Do not forget your objectives and if flying is your passion, try to find an other way to go and touch the sky on a regular basis. You could become a flight instructor for instance or try to fly as an aerial work pilot... It is not as flying a jetliner with many passengers on board of course, but it nonetheless enable to fly !
I wish you the best for the future, as I wish it for me !

few years ago I was in the same situtaion, same total time and 10 years in aviation, today I am in the airlines flying a jet.
stop crying and wake up, nobody said it was going to be easy getting into the airlines.
